WLVK (105.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a worship music format, simulcasting WLGK (94.7 FM). WLVK is licensed to serve the community of Fort Knox, Kentucky, United States. The station is owned by W & B Broadcasting Co., Inc., [1] and is programmed by Word Media Group under a local marketing agreement.

History

The station was assigned the call letters WASE on October 1, 1967. The station from time considered Top 40 and adult contemporary formats from the 1960s until the early 1990s. On October 14, 1993, the station changed its call sign to WASE-FM; on July 25, 1995, it changed to the current WLVK. [2]

On April 3, 2022, WLVK flipped from country music to a simulcast of classic hits station WAKY-FM (103.5). [3] In February 2023, Word Media Group began programming WLVK under a local marketing agreement; Word would launch a contemporary worship music format branded as "The Sound", which in August would begin simulcasting on Word-owned WLGK (94.7 FM). [4]
