WWRW signed on the air on September 7, 2025, with a classic rock format, branded as "Rewind 98.9". [2] The classic rock format (as "Rewind 99.1") was previously on WWBR's second HD Radio channel and FM translator W256CC 99.1 FM in Big Rapids (which moved to 95.1 FM), before they switched to the "Smile FM" contemporary Christian format.
