Washington News Desk was a short-lived 1990s radio news network offering a five-minute newscast at the top of the hour.
The network, owned by Pat Robertson, was marketed to individual stations under the brand "StandardNews", beginning in 1991. The network was made available to stations on a barter-for-inventory basis. The commercial inventory, as well as most of the news content itself, contained a pro-Christian slant, mirroring that of rival USA Radio News.

In broadcasting, digital subchannels are a method of transmitting more than one independent program stream simultaneously from the same digital radio or television station on the same radio frequency channel. This is done by using data compression techniques to reduce the size of each individual program stream, and multiplexing to combine them into a single signal. In principle, each individual network provides live satellite fed radio programs to radio stations in their respective state. The networks rarely charge each individual radio station for these programs, but rather barters with each affiliate for commercial radio time. The network subsequently sells this bartered commercial time to local, regional and national advertisers.
WLPA is a commercial AM radio station licensed to serve Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The station is owned by Hall Communications and simulcasts the sports programming of sister station WONN-FM. WLPA is one of Pennsylvania's oldest radio stations.
