Dial Global Local (formerly Waitt Radio Networks) was a national radio network based in Omaha, Nebraska, formerly owned by NRG Media and purchased in April 2008 by Triton Radio Networks. As a subsidiary of Dial Global, they specialized in 24-hour formats for affiliated radio stations across the United States and Canada which are specifically localized for their client stations, although they also were known for commercial production services. Dial Global Local also provides their affiliates with coverage of breaking news events.

In June 2012, due to reorganizations at Dial Global, the Dial Global Local 24/7 formats were fully integrated into Dial Global's portfolio of formats, and "Dial Global Local" ceased to exist as a brand name. However, most of the former Dial Global Local formats are still offered to affiliate stations in the same manner in which they were previously offered. Three formats - Rock 2.0, Good Time Oldies, and Hits Now! - are available in Local versions only (the latter being a former Dial Global Total offering).

Former networks included The Lounge (adult standards/soft AC, discontinued in June 2012); Modern Rock (replaced by Rock 2.0); and Bob FM (replaced by Jack FM, now a Dial Global Total offering).

On April 30, 2008, it was announced that NRG Media had sold the assets of Waitt Radio Networks to Triton Radio Networks, which also operates Dial Global Digital 24/7 formats (once part of Westwood One). According to Dial Global's website, Dial Global's plans are to merge Waitt's existing 24-hour formats and commercial production services into its own operations . The merger was complete in 2010.

Westwood One was an American radio network that was based in New York City. At one time, it was managed by CBS Radio, and was later purchased by the private equity firm, The Gores Group. Due to purchases, mergers and other forms of consolidation in the 1980s and 1990s, at one time or another, it had ownership stakes in or syndication rights to some of the most famous brands in network radio, including CBS, NBC, Mutual, CNN, Fox, and Unistar. CBS News Radio, formerly known as CBS Radio News and historically known as the CBS Radio Network, is a radio network that provides news to more than 1,000 radio stations throughout the United States. The network is owned by Paramount Global. It is the last of the three original national U.S. radio networks still operating and still owned by its parent company, even though CBS sold its owned and operated radio stations in 2017. The current NBC Radio Network is actually owned by iHeartMedia but licenses use of the NBC name and NBC's TV news reports.

Despite its old name of AM Only, "America's Best Music" is no longer exclusive to AM stations and is carried on some FM stations.

However, due to radio stations demand, the Good Time Oldies format was brought to Dial Global. The format was programmed by program director Jon Holiday from 1994 through 2003.

AC Active was a United States 24-hour music format produced by Dial Global Local. Its playlist was composed of hot adult contemporary music released from the 1980s to when it stopped broadcasting from artists such as Phil Collins, Maroon 5, Matchbox Twenty, Green Day, KT Tunstall, etc. that mainly targeted listeners ages 25–44.

The Lounge was a 24-hour music network produced by Dial Global and distributed under their Dial Global Local brand. The network's tag line was Great Songs and Stars. The format was discontinued on June 17, 2012, as part of a corporate reorganization by Dial Global which resulted in the elimination of the Dial Global Local brand and the absorption of most of the other DG Local formats into the main Dial Global portfolio.

The Bar is a 24-hour music network produced by Waitt Radio Networks. Its playlist is composed of Country/Rock music spanning from the 1960s to today from artists such as George Strait, The Eagles, Toby Keith, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Johnny Cash, etc. that mainly targets listeners ages 18–54. This satellite-driven feed has got its name from a Bar, an establishment that usually serves alcoholic beverages to its customers.

AC Pure was a 24-hour music format produced by Waitt Radio Networks and then by Dial Global under its Dial Global Local banner. Its playlist was composed of adult contemporary music released from the 1970s to this day from artists such as Phil Collins, Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Gloria Estefan, Michael Bolton, etc. that mainly targeted listeners ages 25-54.

Classic Rock (Local Version) (formerly known as Genuine Classic Rock) is a 24-hour music format produced by Dial Global, formerly by Waitt Radio Networks and then by the now-defunct Dial Global Local. Its playlist comprises classic rock music released from the 1960s to the 1980s from artists such as ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tom Petty and Eric Clapton among others.

Hot Country is a 24-hour music format produced by Westwood One. Its playlist is composed of country music released from the late 1990s to the present. Core artists include Luke Bryan, Lady A, Blake Shelton, Zac Brown Band, Keith Urban and Taylor Swift among others.

Classic Hits is a 24-hour music format produced by Westwood One. Its playlist is composed of oldies music from the mid-1960s to mid-1980s, from artists such as Billy Joel, The Beatles, The Temptations, Fleetwood Mac, Hall and Oates and dozens more artists mainly targeted at listeners 45–54. It was known as The Oldies Channel until they changed their name to "Kool Gold" to avoid confusion with the ABC Radio/Citadel Media "The True Oldies Channel". It was branded as Kool Gold Timeless Classics as part of Dial Global's revamped satellite format group, but has then reverted to its original Kool Gold ident to avoid confusion with Citadel's former Timeless format, which once used the "Timeless Classics" positioner.

KZUH is a radio station licensed to Minneapolis, Kansas, United States, the station serves the Salina-Manhattan area. The station is currently owned by Great Plains Christian Radio, Inc.

Smooth jazz was a popular radio format that included songs by artists such as George Benson, Pat Metheny, Kenny G, Luther Vandross, Sade, Robin Thicke, Anita Baker, Basia, Dave Koz and Chuck Mangione. It began in the 1980s as "adult alternative" or NAC, a well-defined radio format, with jazz, new-age music and adult contemporary music. In the 1990s, the format became much more jazz-oriented, with very little new-age, and emphasizing young artists.
