It is part of Bharatpur district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes. There are around 70 thousand schedule caste voters in Weir Assembly. The second largest population is the voters of Gurjar community which is more than 48 thousand. Jats are also in large number with 35 thousand voters.
