Welcome to Hard Times is the 7th studio album by American singer Charley Crockett, released on July 31, 2020, through Son of Davy and distributed by Thirty Tigers.
Releasing the title track on May 27, 2020, Crockett would reveal a full 13 track length album would come on July 31st of that year. [1] The announcement came just a little over a month after releasing the 30 track Field Recordings, Vol. 1 mixtape. [2] [3]
The album marked the first time Crockett used his self-described Gulf & Western monicker for his music, which has featured on all album covers of Crockett's since, with the exclusion of his Lil G.L. Series of albums. The term was originally coined by Jimmy Buffett in 1973 on his album A White Sport Coat and a Pink Crustacean . [4]
