Jambi is a province of Indonesia. It is located on the east coast of central Sumatra and stretches to the Barisan Mountains in the west. Its capital and largest city is also called Jambi. It is bordered by the provinces of Riau to the north, West Sumatra to the west, Bengkulu to the southwest, South Sumatra to the south, and shares a maritime border with the Riau Islands to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the east. The province has a land area of 49,026.58 km2, and a sea area of 3,274.95 km2. Its area is comparable to the European country of Slovakia. It had a population of 3,092,265 according to the 2010 census and 3,548,228 according to the 2020 census; the official estimate of population as of mid-2023 was 3,679,169.
Bulungan Regency is a regency of North Kalimantan Province in Indonesia. It covers an area of 13,181.92 km2 and had a population of 112,663 at the 2010 Census and 151,844 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 165,775. The administrative centre is at Tanjung Selor.
Nunukan Regency is a regency of North Kalimantan Province in Indonesia. It was created on 4 October 1999 from the northern districts of Bulungan Regency. Nunukan Regency shares international borders with the Malaysian states of Sabah to the north and Sarawak to the west, and inter-regency borders with Tana Tidung Regency and Malinau Regency to the south, as well as the coastal city of Tarakan in the east. The regency covers an area of 14,247.50 km2 and it had a population of 140,841 at the 2010 census and 199,090 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 217,923.

The original regency was split in two on 4 October 1999, with the western half being created as a separate Kuantan Singingi Regency. The regency now has an area of 8,198.71 km2 and had a population of 363,442 at the 2010 census, 408,704 at the 2015 census and 444,548 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 472,799. The administrative seat of the regency is located at the town of Rengat.

The area is 1,770.77 km2 and the population was 243,460 at the 2010 Census and 258,721 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 268,360. Tabalong Regency is the most northerly of the regencies in the Indonesian province of South Kalimantan, on Borneo Island. It was created on 14 July 1965 by splitting off the former northern districts of North Hulu Sungai Regency. It has a land area of 3,553.36 km2, and had a population at the 2010 Census of 218,620 and 253,305 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2023 was 262,631. The administrative capital is the town of Tanjung. The Regency's motto is "Saraba Kawa".

Manggarai Regency is a regency in East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia, situated on the island of Flores. Established in 1958 the regency was reduced in size and population by the separation of the more western districts to form West Manggarai Regency in 2003 and of the more eastern districts to form East Manggarai Regency in 2007. The area of the residual Manggarai Regency is 1,343.83 km2 and its population was 292,037 at the 2010 census and 312,855 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 328,758. Meranti Islands is an archipelago, most of which forms a regency (kabupaten) of Riau Province and lies off the eastern coast of the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. It was created on 19 December 2008 by the separating of these large islands from the mainly mainland regency of Bengkalis. The regency comprises the islands of Tebing Tinggi, Rangsang, Padang, and Merbau, together with minor offshore islands, but does not include Bengkalis Island to the north, which is geographically part of the archipelago but remains within Bengkalis Regency. The principal town is Selat Panjang on Tebing Tinggi Island. The regency covers an area of 3,623.93 km2 and had a population of 176,290 at the 2010 Census and 206,116 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2023 was 211,771.
Bungo Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Jambi Province in Sumatra, Indonesia. It was created on 4 October 1999 by the division of the former Bungo Tebo Regency into a new Tebo Regency in the west and this Bungo Regency in the east. The Bungo Regency covers an area of 4,659 km2. As at the 2010 census, the regency had a population of 303,135 and 362,363 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 376,382 - comprising 191,594 males and 184,788 females. The administrative capital is the town of Muara Bungo.
East Tanjung Jabung Regency is a regency of Jambi Province, Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. The regency was created on 4 October 1999 by the division of the then Tanjung Jabung Regency into eastern and western halves. It now has an area of 5,087.07 km2 and had a population of 205,272 at the 2010 census and 229,813 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 236,727. The regency's administrative capital lies at the town of Muara Sabak, a riverine port near the mouth of the Berbak River.
Empat Lawang Regency is a regency of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. It was created on 2 January 2007 from what had been formerly the western districts of Lahat Regency. It covers an area of 2,256.44 km² and had a population of 221,176 at the 2010 Census and 333,622 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 336,694. The regency seat is at the town of Tebing Tinggi.
Ogan Ilir Regency is a regency of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. It takes its name from the main river which stream that area, Ogan River. And the name Ilir means downstream. Indralaya is the regency seat. The regency borders Palembang City and Muara Enim Regency to the north, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency to the east, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, and East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency to the south, and Muara Enim Regency to the west.
West Kotawaringin Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. It originally comprised the whole western part of the province, having been split from a single Kotawaringin Regency on 26 June 1959 into separate regencies for West and East Kotawaringin, but on 10 April 2002 the most westerly districts of West Kotawaringin were split off to form the new Lamandau Regency and Sukamara Regency. The residual West Kotawaringin Regency has a land area of about 10,759 km2, and its population was 235,803 at the 2010 Census and 270,388 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 279,740. The town of Pangkalan Bun in Arut Selatan District is the capital of West Kotawaringin Regency.
East Kotawaringin Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. It originally covered a much larger part of the province, having been split from a single Kotawaringin Regency on 26 June 1959 into separate regencies for East and West Kotawaringin, but on 10 April 2002 several districts in the west of the regency were split off to form the new Seruyan Regency, and several districts in the east of the regency were similarly split off to form the new Katingan Regency. The area of the residual East Kotawaringin Regency is 16,796 km2, and its population was 374,175 at the 2010 Census, and 428,900 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 443,359. The town of Sampit is the capital of East Kotawaringin Regency.
West Tulang Bawang Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Lampung Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It was created on 29 October 2008 from what were formerly the western districts of Tulang Bawang Regency. It has an area of 1,201.15 km2 and had a population of 250,707 people at the 2010 Census and 286,162 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 295,481. The regency seat is the town of Panaragan Jaya.
