West Thornton is a ward in the London Borough of Croydon, [1] [2] covering part of the Thornton Heath area.[ citation needed ] The first election held under the new ward boundaries was the 2018 Croydon Council election.[ citation needed ]

Reading East was a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. In the 2019-2024 Parliament, it was one of two Labour seats from a total of eight seats in Berkshire.

The population of the former ward at the 2011 Census was 14,721.
Bensham Manor is a ward in the London Borough of Croydon, covering part of the Thornton Heath area of London in the United Kingdom. The ward extends from Thornton Heath railway station westwards and is largely residential with a retail or industrial core. The population of the Ward at the 2011 Census was 16,201.
On 29 November 2012, a by-election was held for the UK House of Commons constituency of Croydon North in the London Borough of Croydon. The by-election was caused by the death of its Member of Parliament Malcolm Wicks. It took place on the same day as by-elections in Middlesbrough and Rotherham. The by-election was won by Steve Reed of the Labour Party.

On 6 May 2021, 5 by-elections were held in Croydon following the resignation of 5 councillors across New Addington North, South Norwood, Kenley, Park Hill and Whitgift and Woodside.
Selhurst is a ward in the London Borough of Croydon. The ward had 3 councillors between 2002 and 2018, but from May 3, 2018, the ward has been reduced in size, and reduced to two councillors.
Thornton Heath is a ward in the London Borough of Croydon. The ward covers part of the Thornton Heath Area. The first election held under the new boundaries was the 2018 Croydon Council Election.
Waddon is a ward in the London Borough of Croydon. covering most of the Waddon area and parts of South Croydon, Haling Park and Old Town. The new ward gained territory from Broad Green, and lost some residences to South Croydon and Purley Oaks and Riddlesdown wards as a result of the review. The first election since the boundary changes was on 3 May 2018 as part of the 2018 local elections.. The Labour councillors held all 3 seats.
Woodside is an electoral ward in the London Borough of Croydon. The ward has existed since the creation of the borough on 1 April 1965 and was first used in the 1964 elections. It returns councillors to Croydon London Borough Council. The ward covers the Woodside area. On 6 May 2021, 5 by-elections were held in Croydon following the resignation of 5 councillors across New Addington North, South Norwood, Kenley, Park Hill and Whitgift and Woodside. Two current councillors were elected in the 2022 London local elections. A by-election, caused by the resignation of Mike Bonello, was held on 2 May 2024.
