West Thornton is a ward in the London Borough of Croydon, [1] [2] covering part of the Thornton Heath area.[ citation needed ] The first election held under the new ward boundaries was the 2018 Croydon Council election.[ citation needed ]

On 6 May 2021, 5 by-elections were held in Croydon following the resignation of 5 councillors across New Addington North, South Norwood, Kenley, Park Hill and Whitgift and Woodside. The current Councillors were elected in the London Local Elections in May 2022.
