Westfield Group acquired the shopping center in 2002, and renamed it "Westfield Citrus Park", dropping the "Shoppingtown" name in June 2005.

On May 31, 2018, it was announced that Sears would be closing as part of a plan to close 63 stores nationwide. The store closed on September 2, 2018. [2]

Westfield App 2.0

Westfield application 2.0 is available for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry. It is redesigned with simplicity and function. From the menu button, the user has instant access to all of their information, such as map navigation, product search, voice command system, movie timings and even dinner reservations. The digital map interface provides detailed navigation, turn-by-turn, like an in-mall GPS system. It easily locates bathrooms, family areas, ATMs and more. The user can navigate between floors of the mall and find any product by typing it into the search bar. This application also gives the user an opportunity to experience a hands-free talk to the concierge, asking him for store directions, what's on sale and more. It provides the option to check movie timings, view trailer, purchase tickets and make dinner reservations. [3]

Programs

Stroller Strides fitness program

Offered by FIT4MOM, Stroller Strides is a fitness program, held at Westfield Citrus Park, that mothers can do with their children. The program includes power walking and running and intervals of strength and body toning exercises using the stroller and the environment. It is taught by trained fitness instructors who put songs and activities into the routine to engage the children, while moms are led through a series of exercises. It is the only program that allows moms to work out with their babies. [5]

Independence Mall (North Carolina)

Independence Mall is the only enclosed shopping mall in Wilmington, North Carolina. It opened in 1979 with anchor stores Belk-Beery, JCPenney, and Sears. A later expansion added a new wing and Dillard's store to the center after Westfield Group purchased the mall. The mall is located on Oleander Drive and Independence Blvd east of downtown Wilmington. The mall has a food court and no longer features a carousel.

Woodland Hills Mall is a 1+ million square foot, super regional shopping mall located at 7021 S. Memorial Drive in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States. It was originally developed by Homart Development Company, and opened in August 1976. Woodland Hills Mall features 148 specialty shops and restaurants, 80 of which are unique to the Tulsa area. South County Center

South County Center is a shopping mall located in Mehlville, Missouri, at the intersection between Interstate 55, Interstate 255, and U.S. Route 50. It opened on October 17, 1963 and was designed by Victor Gruen. it included a dome-roofed Famous-Barr, which became Macy's in 2006, a National Supermarket occupying the basement floor, which closed in 1973, and later JCPenney as anchors. Stix, Baer & Fuller,, was added in 1973 along with a new wing of stores. A Sears, a food court, and additional mall stores were added in 2001.
