The X Games are a series of action sports events founded by ESPN Inc. which air on the ESPN family of networks including ABC. The events are mainly held in the United States, with disciplines such as skateboarding, BMX, motocross, skiing and snowboarding. Participants compete to win bronze, silver, and gold medals, as well as prize money. Concurrent with competition is the "X Fest" sports and music festival, which offers live music, athlete autograph sessions, and interactive elements.
Gen Con is the largest tabletop game convention in North America by both attendance and number of events. It features traditional pen-and-paper, board, and card games, including role-playing games, miniatures wargames, live action role-playing games, collectible card games, and strategy games. Gen Con also features computer games. Attendees engage in a variety of tournament and interactive game sessions. In 2019, Gen Con had nearly 70,000 unique attendees.
Crypto.com Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Downtown Los Angeles. The main attraction of the L.A. Live development, it is located next to the Los Angeles Convention Center complex along Figueroa Street. The arena opened on October 17, 1999; it was previously known as Staples Center until December 2021 when Crypto.com acquired the naming rights. The arena is the flagship attraction of locally-based Anschutz Entertainment Group.
David Michael Mirra was an American BMX rider who also competed in rallycross racing. He set the record for most medals in BMX Freestyle at the X Games and earned at least one BMX medal at the event in all but one year from the competition's inception in 1995 until 2009. He also competed for several years with the Subaru Rally Team USA as a rallycross driver. Mirra rode for and was fully sponsored by Haro Bikes from the mid-1990s until he started his own bike company. He was a member of the team which won the 2014 Race Across America four-person male category. Mirra died by suicide on February 4, 2016. He was inducted into the BMX Hall of Fame on June 11, 2016.

The athletics program traces its earliest roots to events used in the ancient Greek Olympics. The modern program includes track and field events, road running events, and race walking events. Cross country running was also on the program in earlier editions but it was dropped after the 1924 Summer Olympics.
Ryan Nyquist is an American professional BMX rider with 16 X-Games medals, 39 X-Games competition starts and 60 Dew Tour finals appearances. Nyquist is considered one of the greatest and diversely skilled BMX riders ever. Nyquist has won numerous gold medals in the X Games Dirt Jumping & Bike Park events. Recently Nyquist has had an interest in freeride mountain biking and has been training in mountain biking as well as BMX. He currently rides for Haro Bikes, Vans Shoes, Rockstar Energy Drink, and The Jiffy Market of Los Gatos.
The 900 is a 2½-revolution aerial spin performed on a skateboard ramp. While airborne, the skateboarder makes two-and-a-half turns about their longitudinal axis, thereby facing down when coming down. It is considered one of skateboarding's most technically demanding tricks.
The George Gervin GameAbove Center, formerly known as the Convocation Center, is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment complex located on Eastern Michigan University’s west campus. Opened in 1998 as part of a campus upgrade initiative, the George Gervin GameAbove Center is a 204,316-square-foot (18,981.6 m2) structure that features three levels including arena, concourse, and office. The arena also has multiple seating configurations to maximize space usage.
Morgan Wade is an American professional BMX rider from Tyler, Texas. He is best known for competing in the X Games.
Jay Lawrence McNeil Miron is a Canadian retired BMX athlete and former owner of MacNeil Bikes. He competed in several X-Games competitions since 1995, compiling nine medals, including the first ever X Games gold medal for Bike Dirt. In addition, Miron is credited with inventing more than 30 tricks, including the double back flip and the 540 tailwhip. During his 17 year long professional career, Miron won six world championship titles. He retired from professional BMX riding in 2005. He sold MacNeil Bikes in 2010 and left the bicycle industry.
Winter X Games XII were held from January 24 to January 27, 2008, in Aspen, Colorado. They were the 7th consecutive Winter X Games to be held in Aspen. Television coverage of Winter X Games XII was broadcast on ESPN and ABC, primarily hosted by Sal Masekela and Todd Harris. Final attendance for the four-day event was 72,500.

The Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center (RLTAC) is an indoor track and indoor basketball stadium in Roxbury, Massachusetts, partially funded by the state of Massachusetts. It is home to numerous MIAA indoor track and field conferences, along with the MIAA State Championships and the New England High School Championships. Nike Indoor Nationals have been run there since 2008, and the Boston Indoor Games have been run there since their inception. USATF Masters Indoor Championships have been held at the facilities several times.
Dennis McCoy is an American freestyle BMX rider. He was a member of the American Freestyle Association along with Mat Hoffman and Dave Mirra and also featured in the 2001 video game Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX as well as the 2002 video game Gravity Games Bike: Street Vert Dirt. Is considered to be a pioneer in freestyle BMX, his credentials include being featured in several Road Fools episodes and managing major action sport competitions and events while still maintaining legendary skill on a BMX bike.

Terry Adams is a professional flatland BMX bicyclist from Hammond, Louisiana.
Edwin De La Rosa is a Panamanian-American BMX rider and photographer. He was born in Panama and moved to Brooklyn at the age of three. He has been riding BMX since the age of 13. He has been referred to as one of the most influential BMX riders of a generation, such as by ESPN who stated that he is "credited with making street riding look smooth."
