Zeyni (Persian : زيني‎, also Romanized as Zeynī and Zīnī; also known as Zani, Zeini Olya, and Zeni)^[1] is a village in Baqeran Rural District, in the Central District of Birjand County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 124, in 38 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Baqeran Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Birjand County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 14,651, in 4,378 families. The rural district has 129 villages.
