The 2020 West Virginia State Treasurer election was held on November 3, 2020, to elect the state treasurer of West Virginia. Incumbent Democratic treasurer John Perdue lost re-election to a seventh term by Republican nominee, former state delegate Riley Moore. Primary elections were held on June 9. Perdue and Moore both won their primaries unopposed.
This was the first time since W. S. Johnson's victory in 1928 that a Republican was elected to the state treasures office. [1]
