Benteen Park is a neighborhood in southeast Atlanta, Georgia, bounded on the west by Boulevard and the Chosewood Park neighborhood, on the north by Boulevard Heights, on the east by Custer/McDonough/Gulce and on the south by Atlanta Federal Prison, which also lies in the Benteen Park neighborhood. The Atlanta Streetcar formerly served the neighborhood, with a line running down Mcdonough Ave. [1]
The neighborhood experienced gentrification during the first decade of the 2000s, with low housing prices yet proximity to facilities in Grant Park. [2]
In Fall 2023, the neighborhood held its first annual "Benteen Park Fall Fest" and plans to have another one in October 2024. Friends of Benteen Park was established subsequent to the 2023 Benteen Park Fall Fest in order to increase community involvement in improving Benteen Park.
A number of large developments are happening in the neighborhood as of 2023/2024, including an Epic Development Project on Boulevard near Red's Beer Garden, and other projects in nearby Chosewood Park. [3]
Little Five Points is a district on the east side of Atlanta, Georgia, United States, 2+1⁄2 miles (4.0 km) east of downtown. Centennial Hill is district at the northern edge of Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The name was originally coined by Hines Interests and applied only to their planned development in the area. Although the development was never started and the land later sold, the name remained and became associated with the whole neighborhood. Due in part to the Georgia Aquarium and to renewed interest in city living, Centennial Hill is undergoing a development boom estimated at over US$1 billion. This includes Allen Plaza, an eight-block complex that spans many side streets and borders Ivan Allen. The seasoned developer's project had already delivered the north end of downtown a modern fresh look, with glass buildings that accommodated Southern Co. and Ernst & Young looming over the Downtown Connector and a W Hotel nearby.
Freedom Park is one of the largest city parks in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The park forms a cross shape with the axes crossing at the Carter Center. The park stretches west-east from Parkway Drive, just west of Boulevard, to the intersection with the north-south BeltLine Eastside Trail, to Candler Park, and north-south from Ponce de Leon Avenue to the Inman Park/Reynoldstown MARTA station.

Peters Park was a planned but never realized neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia, located on the site of today's Georgia Tech campus. Had the neighborhood actually been established in 1884-5, Peters Park would have been Atlanta's first garden suburb, preceding Inman Park, the first to feature winding roads, a lake and a planted boulevard.
