PRO TV is a Romanian free-to-air television network, launched on 1 December 1995 as the fourth private TV channel in the country. It is owned by CME, which is owned by PPF Group.

Vocea României is a Romanian reality singing competition broadcast on PRO TV. Based on the original The Voice of Holland, the concept of the series is to find new singing talent contested by aspiring singers, age 16 or over, drawn from public auditions. The winner is determined by television viewers voting by telephone and he is entitled to a €100,000 prize and a record deal with Universal Records for winning the competition. There have been ten winners of the show to date: Ștefan Stan, Julie Mayaya, Mihai Chițu, Tiberiu Albu, Cristina Bălan, Teodora Buciu, Ana Munteanu, Bogdan Ioan, Dragoș Moldovan, and Iulian Nunucă.
MasterChef Romania is the Romanian version of the television cooking game show, open to amateur and home chefs. The first series started in March 2012 and was broadcast by Pro TV channel in Romania. The show was hosted by Romanian actor Răzvan Fodor. The panel was completed by Cătălin Scărlătescu, Sorin Bontea and Florin Dumitrescu. They were replaced in season 4 by Patrizia Paglieri, Adrian Hădean and Florin Scripcă Starting with the 6th Season, the MasterChef panel has been replaced by chefs Răzvan Exarhu, Samuel le Torriellec and Liviu Popescu. Seventh season had the panel was once again replaced by Joseph Hadad, Cosmin Tudoran and Silviu Chelaru, former participant of the show.

The third season of the Romanian reality talent show Vocea României premiered on ProTV on September 28, 2013. Carla's Dreams is a music project from Moldova, formed in 2012 in Chișinău. The band is composed of an anonymous group of singers and composers who perform their songs in Romanian, English and Russian. Their lead singer, codenamed Sergiu, and his bandmates all hide their identity in public appearances by wearing hooded sweatshirts, sunglasses and a face mask made of makeup. Carla's Dreams rose to prominence in Moldova and Romania upon releasing the single "P.O.H.U.I." with Inna in 2013, and have since then issued nine singles that went on to be number-one singles in Romania.
