The Music Factory (TMF) was an originally Dutch brand of television and radio channels operated focusing on pop music. It was similar to the American MTV which took over TMF in 2002.
VIVA was a German free-to-air music television channel, first broadcast on December 1, 1993. The channel was intended to compete against MTV Europe and was the first German-language music TV channel, while MTV was only broadcast in English until the introduction of MTV Germany in 1997. It was also supposed to focus more on German music and pop culture while MTV only broadcast anglophone music by artists mostly from North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia.

The genre then had a resurgence in the winter of 2007. The Polish PWN dictionary defines the genre as a Polish variant of disco music, with simple melodies and often ribald lyrics.

Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song "Czarna dziewczyna" written by Łukasz Lazer, Michał Szymański and Ivan Komarenko. The song was performed by Ivan and Delfin. In December 2004, the Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) announced that the Polish entry for the 2005 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine would be selected through an internal selection. "Czarna dziewczyna" performed by Ivan and Delfin was announced as the Polish entry on 29 January 2005 during the TVP1 programme Stratosfera.

Nickelodeon is a German free-to-air television channel for children, part of the international. based on the U.S. counterpart. brand originally launched in 1995, and relaunched in 2005, Nickelodeon is based in Berlin. The channel is available on subscription services and as an unscrambled, free-to-air (FTA) satellite signal. On 31 March 2010, the channel re-adopted the name Nickelodeon on air and online, in addition to the new Nickelodeon logo and graphical package being rolled out internationally at the time. The "Nickelodeon" name was re-adopted once again when it rebranded on 1 August 2023, nearly 5 months after its rebrand in the U.S. Since then, the channel is also broadcast in English in addition to German on a secondary audio track. It is aimed at kids between the ages of 6 and 13.
TVP Info is a Polish free-to-air television news channel, run by the public state broadcaster TVP. It is focused on newscasts, mainly broadcasting nationwide news bulletins. Until 20 December 2023, its main offices were located in the Television Information Agency building at Warsaw Insurgents Square; since 29 December 2023 the channel's activities are carried out from the main TVP building on Woronicza Street, Warsaw.

The programming consists of non-stop music videos 24-hours a day. The channel first launched in the Netherlands and Flanders in 2011. Since then the channel has rolled out across many parts of Europe including Germany and it is available in South Africa. In March 2020, the channel launched in Poland replacing the version of MTV Music Polska.
Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief was a charity telethon held on January 22, 2010, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The telethon was the most widely distributed telethon in history. The event was broadcast from Studio 36 at CBS Television City in Los Angeles, Kaufman Astoria Studios in Queens, New York and a private club, The Hospital, in London. There were also live reports from Haiti.
