The Singapore Democratic Party is a social liberal political party in Singapore.
Woodlands is a planning area and residential town located in the North Region of Singapore. The town has a population of 252,530 within an area of 4.8 km2. It is the regional centre for the North Region of the city-state. The Woodlands planning area borders Sembawang to the east, Mandai to the south and Sungei Kadut to the west. Woodlands New Town is situated within the Woodlands planning area.

Bukit Gombak is a subzone of Bukit Batok, Singapore. It is a hilly neighbourhood in the west-central area of the Southeast Asian city-state of Singapore. In the Malay language, bukit means hill and gombak a bunch or collection of something. The neighbourhood consists of two hills. One of them stands at 133m while the other stands at 113m. They are Singapore's second and third highest natural point after Bukit Timah Hill.

He was also Deputy Government Whip from 2019 to 2020 and has been Deputy Leader of the House in Parliament since 2020.
Alex Yam Ziming is a Singaporean politician. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he is a Member of the 14th Parliament and has been representing the Yew Tee ward of Marsiling–Yew Tee Group Representation Constituency (GRC) since 2011. He has also been the Mayor of the North West District since 2020. Yam is a member of the PAP's central executive committee and the assistant organising secretary and executive director of the party. He also serves as advisor to the United Workers of Petroleum Industries of the National Trade Union Congress.

The constituency encompasses Chua Chu Kang, Sungei Kadut Industrial Area, Kranji, Woodlands Checkpoint, and the west part of Woodlands. The four divisions of the GRC are Limbang, Marsiling, Yew Tee and Woodgrove. It is led by Lawrence Wong and Zaqy Mohamad.

Shawn Huang Wei Zhong, born Ingkiriwang Shawn Wei Zhong, is a Singaporean politician. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he is a Member of the 14th Parliament and has been representing the Jurong Spring ward of Jurong Group Representation Constituency (GRC) since 2020. Before entering politics, he had served from 2000 to 2018 as a F-16 fighter pilot in the Republic of Singapore Air Force. He has also been a director at Tasek Jurong, a charity organisation, since 2014.
