Daejeon Hana Citizen FC is a South Korean professional football team based in Daejeon that competes in the K League 1, the top tier of South Korean football. At the time of its foundation in 1997, Daejeon Citizen was the first community club in South Korea, not belonging to any company. The club first entered the K League for the 1997 season, finishing in seventh place. In spite of a limited budget, Daejeon won the 2001 Korean FA Cup. It has not achieved sustained success in the K League, historically occupying the middle and lower reaches of the standings each season. At the end of the 2013 season, Daejeon was relegated to the K League Challenge, the second-tier league.
Dongdaemun Stadium (Korean: 동대문운동장) was a sports complex in Seoul, South Korea and included a multi-purpose stadium, a baseball park and other sports facilities. It was located near Dongdaemun or Great East Gate. The surrounding Dongdaemun market had many vendors selling athletics-related goods. It was demolished in 2008 to make way for the Dongdaemun Design Plaza & Park.
Daejeon World Cup Stadium is a football stadium in the South Korean city of Daejeon. It was used to host some matches at the 2002 FIFA World Cup hosted by South Korea and Japan. The stadium displayed a sophisticated structural dynamism, eliminating decorative decoration. Precast Concrete (PC) method considering construction and economical efficiency was used. After the World Cup, the stadium was planned to be a multi-purpose sports park, which has a comprehensive sports center and commercial and cultural facilities in the middle of the region. It is now the home stadium of Daejeon Hana Citizen with a capacity of 40,535 seats, replacing Daejeon Sports Complex.
Hana Bank, known from its initial establishment in 1971 to 1991 as Korea Investment Finance Corporation, is one of South Korea's largest banks. It merged with Seoul Bank in 2002, then with Korea Exchange Bank in 2015, and was branded KEB Hana Bank from 2015 to 2019. It is a subsidiary of Hana Financial Group.
The Suwon Baseball Stadium, also known as the Suwon kt wiz Park due to sponsorship reasons, is a baseball stadium in Suwon, South Korea. Since 2015, it has been the home of KBO club KT Wiz. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000, and is part of the Suwon Sports Complex.
Yeouido, also Yohido, is a river island on the Han River in Seoul, South Korea. It is Seoul's main finance, media, and investment banking district. It is 8.4 square kilometres (3.2 sq mi) large and has a population of 32,674 as of August 2023.
The Busan Gudeok Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Busan, South Korea. The stadium is used mostly for football matches and can accommodate 12,349 spectators. The venue opened in September 1928 as Busan Municipal Stadium. During the 1988 Summer Olympics, it hosted some of the football matches. It was also the main venue for the 1997 East Asian Games, hosting the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the athletics and football competitions. Football club Busan IPark played their home games at the venue between 1983 and 2002. Additionally, Busan Transport Corporation have played their home games at the venue since 2006.
Song Jin-woo is a South Korean retired left-handed pitcher. Song played in the KBO League for 21 seasons between 1989 and 2009 with the Hanwha Eagles. He currently holds several pitching records for the KBO, including his 210 wins and 3,003 innings pitched. He is one of two pitchers in KBO League history to win 200 games, and strike out 2,000 or more batters. Because of his central role in establishing the Korean baseball players' association, he has the nickname of "Mr. President."

Seoul Bank, known from 1976 to 1995 as Seoul Trust Bank (서울신탁은행), was a major bank in South Korea, originally established as a regional bank in 1959. By the mid-1990s, it was one of the five most prominent Korean banks, together with Chohung Bank, Korea Commercial Bank, Korea First Bank, and Hanil Bank. It was determined to be insolvent during the 1997 Asian financial crisis, however, and was taken over by the Korean authorities, then merged into Hana Bank.
