The 1984 Swedish Individual Speedway Championship final was held on 8 September in Karlstad. Jan Andersson won the Swedish Championship for the fourth time. [3] [4]

Njudungarna won the Elitserien and were declared the winners of the Swedish Speedway Team Championship for the fourth time. The Njudungarna team included Conny Samuelsson, Ulf Blomqvist and Uno Johansson. [7] [8] [9]
The Smederna club split up in two separate clubs called Smederna and Tuna Rebels and the league format changed in that there were only four divisions. [10]
Solkatterna won the first division, while Vikingarna and Lejonen won the second division north and south respectively. [11]

Njudungarna or Vetlanda Speedway are a motorcycle speedway team based in Vetlanda, Sweden, who comepete in the Swedish Speedway Team Championship. They race at the Vetlanda Motorstadion and are eleven times champions of Sweden.
Smederna is a motorcycle speedway club based in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The club competes in the highest speedway league in Sweden called the Elitserien and race its home matches at Smedstadion outside Eskilstuna. Smederna has won six Swedish Speedway Team Championships.
