The 1990 Individual Long Track World Championship was the 20th edition of the FIM speedway Individual Long Track World Championship. [1] The event was held on 19 August 1990 at Herxheim in Germany which was West Germany at the time. [2]

The world title was won by Simon Wigg of England for the third time. [3] [4]

Martin Smolinski is a German motorcycle speedway rider. He is three-times world longtrack champion and eight times champion of Germany.

Long track is a discipline of track racing, that takes place at high speeds on tracks ranging from 425 to 1,000 metres in length. Longtrack racing is an umbrella term for events using long track machinery, similar to that used in speedway but with a longer wheelbase and a two-speed gearbox.
