The 1985 Individual Long Track World Championship was the 15th edition of the FIM speedway Individual Long Track World Championship. [1] The event was held on 15 September 1985 at the Korskro Motor Centre in Esbjerg in Denmark. [2]
The world title was won by Simon Wigg of England. [3] [4]

The Long track is a motorcycle sport version of speedway, but taking place on tracks ranging from 425 to 1000 metres in length at much higher speeds. There are also subtle differences between the machinery in that a longtrack bike is slightly larger and has a two-speed gearbox. Races usually consist of six riders although occasionally they have eight.
