She shot to fame after the release of her debut album T.K.O (2005). She was named the Best Newcomer of 2005 in the Afro Pop music circuit. The Past, The Present, The Future album was released on 5 November 2012. In May 2013, She scooped award at the 19th South African Music Awards.

Sithembile Xola Pearl Thusi is a South African actress, model, and presenter. She is known for her roles as Patricia Kopong in the BBC/HBO comedy-drama series The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, Dayana Mampasi in the ABC thriller Quantico and Samkelo in the romance film Catching Feelings. In 2020, she starred in the titular role of Netflix's first African original series, Queen Sono.

Simmy South African singer-songwriter

Simphiwe Nhlangulela, better known by her stage name Simmy, is a South African singer-songwriter.

Mthembeni Ndevu, better known by his stage name Emtee, is a South African rapper. He was born in Matatiele and grew up in Rockville, Soweto, where he was involved in talent shows. His career began at the age of 17 and his debut hit single, "Roll Up" was released in 2015 to critical acclaim. Emtee was signed to Ambitiouz Entertainment, and released his debut album Avery (2015), which was commercially successful and was eventually certified platinum by Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).

22nd South African Music Awards 2016 edition of the South African Music Awards

The 22nd Annual South African Music Awards was held on 4 June 2016 at Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, Durban, South Africa and was hosted by Somizi Mhlongo and Thando Thabethe. The nominees were announced on 21 April 2016 with Nathi, Emtee, Zonke Dikana, and Riky Rick topping the list with four nominations each. Nathi garnered the most awards with five while Black Coffee came closest by claiming four awards.

Somizi Buyani Mhlongo is a South African actor, media personality, television personality and choreographer. In 1992, he appeared on the musical and political film, Sarafina! which gained him prominence. Mhlongo became lead choreographer for numerous shows and events, including the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Shekhinah (singer) South African pop musician

Shekhinah Thandi Donnell, known mononymously as Shekhinah, is a singer-songwriter from Durban, South Africa. Shekhinah was among the Top 32 of M-Net's Season 7 of SA Idols in 2011 and among the Top 6 of Season 8 of SA Idols in 2012.

Jabulani Hadebe, known professionally as Sjava, is a South African singer, rapper, and actor. He began his acting career in 2005, starring in several drama series and films including uGugu no Andile (2009). He then rose to prominence on the drama series Zone 14, where he starred for three consecutive seasons. Sjava ventured into the music industry and signed to record label Ambitiouz Entertainment. He gained mainstream popularity after he was featured on Miss Pru's acclaimed song "Ameni" in 2015.

Mthokozisi Khathi professionally known by his stage name DJ Tira, is a South African DJ, record producer and Kwaito artist. Born in Hlabisa, Tira relocated Durban at the age of 3. He is part of the collective that discovered the Gqom music genre. His musical career began at the age of 20 in 1996, while attending University of KwaZulu-Natal and signed a record deal and released compilation album Real Makoya in 2001.

Moonchild Sanelly South African musician and dancer

Sanelisiwe Twisha, known professionally as Moonchild Sanelly is a South African musician and dancer. She is known for her signature blue-colored hair and her self-created music genre called "Future ghetto punk". Originally from Port Elizabeth, the singer first came into limelight in the Durban poetry and music scene before relocating to Johannesburg, where she has continued her musical career.

Lindokuhle Mgedeza, known professionally as Mlindo the Vocalist, is a South African singer and songwriter. He initially gained notable recognition following his debut single, "Amablesser", taken from his debut album, Emakhaya (2018).

Ntokozo Zakwe is a South African Rapper born in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal.

Nomcebo Nothule Zikode, is a South African singer and songwriter. Born in Hammarsdale, Zikode was a backing singer for several years. She has collaborated with DJ Ganyani on their hit single "Emazulwini" (2018).

Blaq Diamond is a South African Afro pop duo from Ladysmith KwaZulu-Natal. They met in 2010 on a school trip where both participated in a music cypher in the school bus. They signed to record label Ambitiouz Entertainment, releasing their debut album Inqola (2017), which became their first iTunes number one.

Qwabe Twins is a South African Afro-pop duo formed in KwaZulu-Natal consisting of two identical twins Virginia and Viggy Qwabe. They were contestant on season 15 of the Idols South Africa.
