The MTV MIAW Awards (formerly MTV Millennial Awards) is an annual program of Latin American music awards, presented by the cable channel MTV Latin America to honor the best of Latin music and youth culture. Winners receive a statuette of a cat, in reference to cat memes as a symbol of Internet culture. The ceremony has been held in Mexico City since its first edition on July 16, 2013. In 2020 there was no ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Juan Luis Morera Luna, best known by his stage name Wisin, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton rapper, singer and record producer, best known as a member of the reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel. Wisin is noted for his unique and aggressive style of rapping.

The 5th Annual MTV MIAW Awards were held on June 3, 2017 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, and was broadcast on June 4, 2017 through MTV Latin America. The awards celebrate the best of Latin music and the digital world of the millennial generation. The ceremony was hosted by Lele Pons and Juanpa Zurita. J Balvin and Sebastián Yatra led nominations with five each, while Lali was the biggest winner of the night, with two awards. Furthermore, Lady Gaga received the UNHCR's Change Agent Award.

He was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award for Producer of the Year in 2021 and 2023.
María de los Ángeles Becerra is an Argentine singer and former YouTuber and is the first Argentine female singer to sing at the River Plate Stadium last March 22nd and 23rd, being also the first Argentine female Artist Singer to sold out those two consecutive Stadiums. She has been dubbed as "a leading voice in Argentina's urban pop movement".
The 8th Annual MTV MIAW Awards took place on July 13, 2021, at the Quarry Studios in Mexico City. It was broadcast live by MTV Latin America. The awards celebrated the best of Latin music and the digital world of the millennial generation. The list of nominees was revealed on June 7, 2021. Leading the list of nominees was Karol G with six nominations, followed by Bad Bunny y Danna Paola with five each.
Kenia Guadalupe Flores Osuna, known professionally as Kenia Os, is a Mexican singer-songwriter and businesswoman. She began her career as a YouTube personality, uploading vlogs regularly. She uploaded her first video in 2015, joined a larger team of YouTubers, and in May 2018, Os resumed her career independently.
