The 2001 Arizona Wildcats baseball team represented the University of Arizona during the 2001 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wildcats played their home games at Frank Sancet Stadium. The team was coached by Jerry Stitt in his 5th season at Arizona. Following the season Coach Stitt resigned from his post after 23 seasons on the coaching staff, including the previous 5 as head coach. The Wildcats finished with an overall record of 33-23 and placed 5th in the Pacific-10 Conference with 12-12 record. They would miss the postseason for the 4th time in 5 years and 2nd straight season.

The Wildcats finished the 2000 season with an overall record of 26-30, their first losing season since 1996. They finished 5th in conference play with a record of 12-12. Arizona missed the postseason for a 2nd straight year and 4th time in Jerry Stitt's 5 seasons as head coach.

The 1976 Arizona Wildcats baseball team represented the University of Arizona in the 1976 NCAA Division I baseball season. The team was coached by Jerry Kindall in his 4th season at Arizona. The Wildcats finished with a record of 56-17 overall and placed 2nd in the Western Athletic Conference's Southern Division with a 12-4 in conference play, finishing 2nd in the WAC Southern. Arizona advanced to the postseason for the 3rd straight season and was placed in the Midwest Regional hosted by the University of Texas-Pan American at Jody Ramsey Memorial Stadium in Edinburg, Texas. The Wildcats defeated Texas-Pan American, Missouri and Texas A&M to advance to the College World Series for the 1st time since 1970. After losing their 1st game in Omaha, Nebraska to rival Arizona State, Arizona won the next 4 against Oklahoma, Clemson, Eastern Michigan and Arizona State to advance to the final game: a rematch against Eastern Michigan. Arizona reached the postseason for the 2nd straight season and the final time in Jerry Kindall's tenure and were placed as the 3-seed in the Midwest Regional, which was hosted by Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The team was ultimately eliminated 1 win short of a College World Series appearance with a 10–11 loss in the regional final to host Oklahoma State.

The team was coached by Jerry Kindall in his 20th season at Arizona. The Wildcats finished 34-23 overall and placed 1st in the Pacific-10's Southern Division with an 18–12 record. This was Arizona's final conference championship under Coach Kindall and would be their last for 20 years until clinching a share of the then-Pac-12 Conference championship in 2012. The Wildcats made the postseason for the 1st time since 1989 and were selected to host the West Regional at Sancet Stadium. This would be the final time Sancet Stadium would host postseason play and, coincidentally, was the last time the program would host a regional until the same 2012 season when the program would win its 4th College World Series title. The Wildcats lost back to back games to Washington and Hawaii to end their season.

The team was coached by Jerry Kindall in his 2nd season at Arizona. The Wildcats finished 58-6 overall and placed 1st in the Western Athletic Conference's Southern Division with a 16–2 record. Arizona faced Northern Division champion BYU in the WAC Playoffs at Cougar Field in Provo, Utah. The Wildcats defeated BYU 14-5 and 16–5 to win the WAC Championship. Arizona made the postseason for the 1st time in Jerry Kindall's tenure and the 1st time since 1970, and were placed in the District 7 Regional hosted by the University of Northern Colorado at Jackson Field in Greeley, Colorado. The Wildcats lost back-to-back games to Northern Colorado to end their season.
