The 2001 Calder Park V8 Supercar round was the seventh round of the 2001 Shell Championship Series. It was held on the weekend of 14 to 15 July at the Calder Park Raceway in Melbourne, Victoria. This would also be the 25th and last time that Calder Park Raceway would host a round of the V8 Supercar Championship Series.
Paul Morris obtained his first V8 Supercar win as well as his first round win. This would also be the last time the V8 Supercars would race at Calder Park Raceway, although it does still remain a testing facility for some V8 Supercar teams to the present day.

Pukekohe Park is a horse racing, motor racing, and community events facility located in Pukekohe, New Zealand, approximately 40 km (25 mi) south of the Auckland CBD, in the Auckland Region of the North Island. The venue, owned by Counties Racing Club Inc. is used seven days a week for horse training, driver training, motorsport events, cycling and various events and functions.
Paul "The Dude" Morris is an Australian motor racing driver and team owner. The owner of Paul Morris Motorsport, he competes in Queensland sprint car racing and the Stadium Super Trucks, the latter of which includes the series' Australian Boost Mobile Super Trucks championship. He won the SST championship in 2017 and the Boost Mobile Super Trucks title in 2021.
The 1998 Australian Touring Car Championship was an Australian motor racing competition open to 5.0 Litre Touring Cars,. The championship, which was sanctioned by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport as an Australian title, was contested over a ten-round series which began on 1 February 1998 at Sandown International Motor Raceway and ended on 2 August at Oran Park International Raceway. The series was promoted as the "Shell Australian Touring Car Championship". The title, which was the 39th Australian Touring Car Championship, was won by Craig Lowndes.
The 2001 VIP Petfoods Queensland 500 was an endurance race for V8 Supercars held at Queensland Raceway near Ipswich in Queensland, Australia on 26 August 2001. The programmed race distance was 161 laps however the race was stopped due to heavy rain and results were declared as at the completion of 156 laps.

It began on 24 March 2006 at Adelaide Street Circuit and finished on 10 December at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit after seven rounds held across four different states.
The 2009 Australian Drivers' Championship was a CAMS sanctioned national motor racing title with the championship winner receiving the 2009 CAMS Gold Star award. Team BRM driver Joey Foster became the second successive champion from Great Britain, holding off 2007 series champion Tim Macrow by eight points. In the National classes, Tom Tweedie was champion in National A, recording three top-three overall finishes and twelve class wins, while Peter Kalpakiotis was champion in National B as he was the only driver to contest more than one meeting.
