Steven Ellery (born 22 August 1974 in Melbourne) is a retired Australian racing driver known from V8 Supercars.
Ellery started racing in karts before graduation to Formula Ford in 1992. After running near the front of the Formula Ford pack racing a Van Diemen in 1993 Ellery moved his family-run team into the Australian Manufacturers' Championship (later known as the Australian Super Touring Championship), driving first a Ford Sierra in 1994 then a BMW 318i in 1995. Ellery's appearance in an ex-Glenn Seton Racing Ford Sierra at the Amaroo Park Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC) round in 1994 remains the most recent entry of a non-V8 powered car in the championship. After two Bathurst 1000 starts in 1993 and 1994, Ellery entered the ATCC full-time in 1996 with his eponymous team, finishing 15th in the championship. He then joined Longhurst Racing for the post-season endurance races in 1996, finishing 4th at the Sandown 500 and 3rd at the Bathurst 1000 with Tony Longhurst. He continued with the team in 1997, as the team expanded to two cars with a second Ford EL Falcon. After a falling out with Longhurst, he then raced a Holden Young Lions Holden VS Commodore, prepared by Gibson Motorsport, in 1998. [1]
His time away from the family team proved to be short-lived with Ellery again choosing to team up with his father Bruce from 1999 onwards, the team contesting a partial campaign of the championship with backing from family company Chelgrave Contracting. [2] Ellery did however take a pole position at the non-championship event supporting the Gold Coast Indy 300. [3] Ellery joined Dick Johnson Racing for the 1999 endurance events, now part of the championship, and co-driver Paul Radisich was leading the 1999 FAI 1000 with under 20 laps to go before a flat tyre put them out of the race. In 2000 Ellery, now with Supercheap Auto backing, won the second race of the Sandown round, what proved to be his only championship race victory. Ellery continued with his team until 2004, with a best finish of 9th in the championship in 2001. [5] The team's highlight was a double podium for Ellery and Luke Youlden at the two major endurance races in 2003, second at Sandown and third at Bathurst. [3] In 2005, Ellery was selected to partner Craig Lowndes at Triple Eight Race Engineering in a two-year deal. While Lowndes mounted a championship challenge, Ellery only finished 13th in the championship with one podium at the 2005 Bathurst 1000. He was replaced after only one year for 2006 by Jamie Whincup and never returned as a full-time driver in the series. [1]
Over the next three years, Ellery drove with Paul Morris Motorsport and Garry Rogers Motorsport as an endurance co-driver before stepping away from the sport. [3]
Ellery entered the first four rounds of the 2007 Australian Carrera Cup Championship before dropping out of the championship.

Mark SkaifeOAM is an Australian former racing driver. Skaife is a five-time champion of the V8 Supercar Championship Series, including its predecessor, the Australian Touring Car Championship, as well as a six-time Bathurst 1000 winner. On 29 October 2008, he announced his retirement from full-time touring car racing. Since retiring from driving, Skaife has worked as a commentator and presenter for the series for both the Seven Network and Fox Sports Australia.
Craig Andrew LowndesOAM is an Australian racing car driver in the Repco Supercars Championship racing for Triple Eight Race Engineering. He is also a TV commentator.
Glenn Seton is an Australian racing driver. He won the Australian Touring Car Championship in 1993 and 1997 while driving for his own team. Although he never won the Bathurst 1000 like his father Barry did in 1965, Glenn started from pole position in 1994 and 1996, and finished second three times. He came close to winning the race in 1995, holding a significant lead in the closing stages, but his engine failed nine laps from the finish.
Walkinshaw Andretti United is an Australian motor racing team based in the Melbourne suburb of Clayton. The team, initially branded as the Holden Racing Team, used to field Holden Commodores in the Supercars Championship before making the switch to Ford Mustangs for the 2023 season. The two cars are currently driven by Nick Percat and Chaz Mostert.
William Davison is an Australian professional racing driver. He currently drives the No.17 Ford Mustang GT for Dick Johnson Racing in the Repco Supercars Championship. Davison is a two-time winner of the Bathurst 1000, in 2009 and 2016.
Mark "Frosty" Winterbottom is an Australian professional racing driver. He currently competes in the Repco Supercars Championship, driving the No. 18 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Team 18. His career highlights include winning the 2013 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, twice winning the Sandown 500 and receiving the Mike Kable Young Gun Award in 2003. Winterbottom has also won his maiden championship title in the 2015 International V8 Supercars Championship, making it the first title for Ford in five years. He also voices himself in the Australian version of the hit 2011 film, Cars 2.
Jamie Whincup is an Australian professional racing driver competing in the Supercars Championship. He currently is team principal for Triple Eight Race Engineering. He has driven the No. 88 Holden ZB Commodore, won a record seven Supercars championship titles, four Bathurst 1000 victories, and a Bathurst 12 Hour victory. Whincup is the all-time record holder in the Supercars Championship for race wins, at 125 career wins. He is also the first driver to win the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy twice at Pukekohe Park Raceway in Auckland, New Zealand.
Triple Eight Race Engineering, branded as Red Bull Ampol Racing in Supercars, is an Australian motor racing team competing in the Supercars Championship. The team has been the only Brisbane-based V8 Supercar team since its formation, originally taking over and operating out of the former Briggs Motor Sport workshop in Bowen Hills during the 2003 season before moving to Banyo in 2009. The team has won the Supercars drivers' championship ten times, the teams' championship eleven times and the Bathurst 1000 nine times.

Anthony Lawrence Longhurst is an Australian racing driver and former Australian Champion water skier. He is most noted for his career in the Australian Touring Car Championship and V8 Supercar series. Longhurst is a two-time winner of the Bathurst 1000, winning the event in 1988 with Tomas Mezera and in 2001 with Mark Skaife, and is one of only five drivers to win Bathurst in both a Ford and a Holden.
Lee Holdsworth is a semi-retired Australian racing driver. He won the 2021 Bathurst 1000 alongside Chaz Mostert and finished his full-time career after the 2022 season, after nearly two decades of racing. He will be co driving the Walkinshaw Andretti United Optus/Mobil 1 Ford Mustang #25 with Chaz Mostert in 2023 at Sandown Raceway and the Bathurst 1000.
Tomas Mezera is a naturalised Australian racing driver. Mezera won the 1988 Bathurst 1000, and for many years was a member of the Holden Racing Team as both a driver and team manager. Mezera's sporting career began as a downhill skier in his native Czechoslovakia, before he emigrated to Australia to be a ski instructor. Mezera retired from racing in 2004 but continues to hold roles in motorsport, most recently as a driving standards advisor to several domestic motor racing championships.
Michael Caruso is an Australian professional motor racing driver. Caruso competes in the Pirtek Enduro Cup, co-driving a Chevrolet Camaro Mk.6 for Team 18 alongside Mark Winterbottom.
The Queensland 500 was a motorsport endurance race held at Queensland Raceway near Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. It was best known as a V8 Supercars race held from 1999 to 2002. It was also very famous for The Ford AU Falcon taking two of its most famous victories in 2001 and 2002.
Luke Youlden is an Australian Supercars series racing driver. He is the son of two-time Australian Production Car champion Kent Youlden (dec). Youlden currently drives for Kelly Grove Racing as a co-driver alongside David Reynolds in the No. 26 Ford Mustang GT. Outside racing, Youlden works at a performance driving school with fellow Supercars racer Dean Canto. He co-drove to victory with David Reynolds in the 2017 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
The Sandown SuperSprint was a Supercars motor racing event held at Sandown Raceway in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The event was a semi-regular part of the Supercars Championship—and its previous incarnations, the Australian Touring Car Championship, Shell Championship Series and V8 Supercars Championship between 1965 and 2011, and returned to the championship in 2021.
LoGaMo Racing, also known as Tony Longhurst Racing, was an Australian motor racing team that competed in Australian touring car racing between 1988 and 1994. The team was initially a collaboration between Tony Longhurst and Frank Gardner, with Terry Morris later joining as a shareholder, with their three names combining to create the LoGaMo name. The team is best known for winning the 1988 Bathurst 1000 with Longhurst and Tomas Mezera.
