The 2008 FIA GT Adria 2 Hours was the third race of the 2008 FIA GT Championship season. It took place at Adria International Raceway, Italy, on June 21, 2008, and was held under night conditions for the second year in a row. [1]
In post-race technical inspection, the three Porsches of Prospeed Competition and Trackspeed Racing were found to be using parts which did not match the parts used in the Porsche 997 GT3-RSR's homologation. The three Porsche entries were disqualified from the race even though the FIA admitted that the fault was caused by the manufacturer, not the teams. Prospeed Competition has appealed the disqualification of their two cars. [2]

The FIA GT Championship was a sports car racing series organized by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) at the behest of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship was mostly concentrated in Europe, but throughout the years has visited other continents including Asia and South America. At the end of 2009, the championship was replaced by the FIA GT1 World Championship, which morphed into the FIA GT Series for 2013.

He is also the 2016 FIA World Endurance Champion.

The 2007 FIA GT Adria 2 Hours was the seventh round of the 2007 FIA GT Championship season. It took place at Adria International Raceway, Italy, on September 8, 2007. This race was run later than usual, under the cover of darkness. However the track did use floodlights in an attempt to aid the drivers.

It featured a series for Grand Touring style cars broken into two classes based on power and manufacturer involvement, called GT1 and GT2. Invitational G2 and G3 classes were also allowed to participate but cars in these classes were not eligible to score points. The Championship began on 20 April 2008 and ended on 23 November 2008 after 10 rounds.

The 2009 FIA GT Championship season was the thirteenth and final season of the FIA GT Championship for grand tourer cars competing in the GT1 and GT2 categories. The season began 3 May, and ended 25 October after eight races. This was also the final season of a combined GT1 and GT2 championship before the launch of the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2010.

It was held at the Silverstone Circuit, United Kingdom on 3 May 2009. It featured the race debut of the Ford GT and the Nissan GT-R in the GT1 category in preparation for their entry in the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship.

The 2009 Total 24 Hours of Spa was the 62nd running of the Spa 24 Hours and the fourth round of the 2009 FIA GT Championship season. The final race before the summer break race took place at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps between 25 and 26 July 2009. Joining the FIA GT Championship competitors were cars from numerous national GT series as well as competitors from the FIA GT3 European Championship. This was the last time GT1 machinery was eligible for the race, as well as the last Spa 24 Hours that was part of the FIA GT Championship.
The 2009 Budapest City Challenge was the fifth round of the 2009 FIA GT Championship season return racing After summer break and was organised by City Challenge GmbH. It took place at the Hungaroring, Hungary on 30 August 2009. Michael Bartels and Andrea Bertolini won for the Vitaphone Racing Team Maserati after the disqualification of the K plus K Motorsport Saleen. Richard Westbrook and Emmanuel Collard of Prospeed Competition won in the GT2 category by passing the AF Corse Ferrari on the final lap of the event.
The 2009 FIA GT Algarve 2 Hours was the sixth round of the 2009 FIA GT Championship season. It took place at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portugal on 20 September 2009. Selleslagh Racing Team won their first race of the season while their driver James Ruffier's won his first race in FIA GT. Pekaracing earned second place while the No. 2 Vitaphone Racing car completed the podium with a pass on the second to last lap of the race. The No. 51 AF Corse Ferrari won in GT2 followed by the No. 60 Prospeed Competition Porsche and No. 77 BMS Scuderia Italia Ferrari.
The 2009 FIA GT Paul Ricard 2 Hours was the penultimate round of the 2009 FIA GT Championship season. It took place at Circuit Paul Ricard on 4 October 2009. The race was won by the Corvette of Enrique Bernoldi and Roberto Streit for Sangari Team Brazil, ahead of the No. 2 Vitaphone Racing Team Maserati and Selleslagh Racing Team Corvette. In the GT2 category, Toni Vilander and Gianmaria Bruni won from pole position in the AF Corse Ferrari, leading the Prospeed Competition Porsche and the second AF Corse Ferrari.
The 2009 FIA GT Zolder 2 Hours is the eighth and final round of the 2009 FIA GT Championship season. It took place at Zolder, Belgium on 25 October 2009. It was also the last race held under the FIA GT Championship banner before the introduction of the FIA GT1 World Championship and FIA GT2 European Championship in 2010.
The 2010 FIA GT3 European Championship season was the fifth season of the FIA GT3 European Championship. The season commenced on 1 May at Silverstone and ended on 10 October at Circuit Zolder. The season featured six double-header rounds, with each race lasting for a duration of 60 minutes. Most of the events were support races to the newly formed FIA GT1 World Championship.
