The 2009 BWF Super Series Masters Finals was a top level badminton competition which was held from December 2 to December 6, 2009, in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The final was held by Badminton Association of Malaysia. [1] It was the final event of the BWF Super Series competition on the 2009 BWF Super Series schedule. The total purse for the event was $500,000.

She worked as a coach for Malaysia's national women's doubles players of which the contract ended in 2020. He won a total of 43 Superseries titles, 37 in the men's doubles, the most of any doubles player in one discipline, and 6 in mixed doubles. He was ranked world number 1 in men's doubles for 117 consecutive weeks with his last partner, Yoo Yeon-seong.

Ma Jin is a badminton player from China who specialises in women's and mixed doubles. She partnered Wang Xiaoli in women's doubles and excelled in the category until 2010 when both players are split after China failed to defend their Uber Cup against South Korea in Kuala Lumpur. Consequently, Ma Jin was unable to continue competing in the women's doubles event without her regular partner and she had to concentrate on mixed doubles instead. Ma Jin had tasted successes in mixed with several partners, notably Zheng Bo, He Hanbin and Xu Chen. Her domination at the front of the court combined with the power play from Xu Chen made them one of the most dominant Chinese pairs to date, the other being Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei.

Lim Khim Wah is a Malaysian badminton player from Penang who plays in the doubles category. His men's doubles partner was Goh V Shem until late 2014. They two won their first Superseries title at the 2014 Malaysia Open. Together with Goh, Lim reached a career high as world number 11 in the men's doubles in May 2013. In 2015, Lim resigned from the Badminton Association of Malaysia. In 2022, Lim teamed up with Nur Mohd Azyriyn Ayub, they started their career in three back-to-back tournaments in India, with the India Open as the first tournament.

Yoyo Ng Tsz Yau is a Hong Kong badminton player. She started playing badminton at aged 5, and in 2013, she competed in the women's doubles event with Yeung Nga Ting. In 2017, she reach the mixed doubles semi final round at the Malaysia Masters, and in November 2017, she and Yeung won the senior tournament at the Tata Open India International tournament.
