2011 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification

The 2011 Individual Speedway World Championship Grand Prix Qualification were a series of motorcycle speedway meetings used to determine the three riders who qualified for the 2011 Speedway Grand Prix. The top eight riders finishing the 2010 Grand Prix series automatically qualified for 2011. The final round of qualification – the Grand Prix Challenge – took place on 21 August 2010, in Vojens, Denmark. [1]

Contents

Artem Laguta and Antonio Lindbäck finished in the top two positions, and thus automatically qualified for the 2011 Speedway Grand Prix season. The third spot was decided in a three-way run-off, with Fredrik Lindgren defeating Janusz Kołodziej and Magnus Zetterström.

The champion title was won by Dennis Andersson from Sweden who beat two Poles Przemysław Pawlicki and Patryk Dudek in Run-off. Pawlicki was a defending champion. It was first champion title for Sweden since 2004, when Antonio Lindbäck won at Rybnik, Poland. It was second final in Goričan; in 2006 won host rider Jurica Pavlič. In 2010 the only Croatian rider, Dino Kovacic, finished fourth.

The 2010 FIM Individual Ice Racing World Championship was the 2010 version of FIM Individual Ice Racing World Championship season. The world champion was determined in nine finals in five cities between 6 February and 21 March 2010.
