2013 World Women's Handball Championship – European qualification

The European qualification for the 2013 World Women's Handball Championship, in Serbia, was played over two rounds. The 2013 hosts Serbia, the 2011 holders Norway were qualified automatically for the World Championship. In the first round of qualification, 16 teams who were not participating at the 2012 European Women's Handball Championship were split into four groups. The group winners and the remaining 12 teams from the European Championship played a playoff afterwards to determine the other nine qualifiers. [1]

The draw was held on 24 July 2012 at 11:00 at Vienna, Austria. [1] [2]

In the first round of qualification, 21 teams who were not participating at the European Championship were split into seven groups. The group winners and the remaining 11 teams from the European Championship played a playoff afterwards to determine the other nine qualifiers.

The 2015 IHF Men's Junior World Championship was the 20th edition of the tournament and held at Brazil from 19 July to 1 August 2015. The decision to select Brazil as the host was announced 1 August 2014. France won their first title by defeating Denmark 26–24 in the final.

The 2018 European Women's Handball Championship was held in France in from 29 November to 16 December 2018. It was the first time France hosts the women's tournament. The matches were played in Brest, Montbéliard, Nancy, Nantes and Paris.

The European qualification for the 2017 World Men's Handball Championship in France was disputed in two rounds among the teams that did not qualify for the 2016 European Men's Handball Championship and the 12 worst-ranked teams from the European Championship. The qualification matches took place between November 2015 and June 2016.

The 2020 European Women's Handball Championship was held from 3 to 20 December 2020. The games were played in Herning and Kolding, Denmark.

The European qualification for the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship, in Denmark and Germany, was contested in two rounds among the teams that did not qualify for the 2018 European Men's Handball Championship and the 12 teams that did play this tournament but was not already qualified and failed to qualify through it.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 European Men's Handball Championship qualification</span> Qualification for the 2022 European Mens Handball Championship

The 2022 European Men's Handball Championship qualification was a handball competition organized by the European Handball Federation (EHF) to determine 20 of the 24 men's national teams competing in the 2022 European Men's Handball Championship final tournament. They joined the other four teams already qualified: Hungary and Slovakia, as final tournament co-hosts, and Spain and Croatia, who finished in the top two positions in the previous championship. Those four played in the EHF Euro Cup.

The European qualification for the 2019 World Women's Handball Championship, in Japan, was played over two rounds.

The 2019–20 Women's EHF Cup was the 39th edition of EHF's second-tier women's handball competition. It started on 7 September 2019. Siófok KC were defending champions. On 24 April 2020 EHF announced that the competition would be cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The European qualification for the 2021 World Men's Handball Championship, in Egypt, would have been contested by the teams that did not qualify for the 2020 European Men's Handball Championship and the 20 teams that played the tournament but were not pre-qualified or failed to reach a qualifying ranking place. In total, 34 teams were competing for 10 places at the final tournament.
