2014 Czech Lion Awards ceremony was held on 14 January 2015. Fair Play received highest number of nominations but eventually failed to win in any category. The Way Out on the other hand won 7 awards, including Best Film category. [4]

Kabát is a Czech hard rock band from Teplice formed in 1983. The members of the group are Josef Vojtek, Milan Špalek, Tomáš Krulich (guitar), Ota Váňa (guitar), and Radek Hurčík (drums). Kabát has enjoyed major popularity in their home country since 1989, and they are the holders of multiple Anděl Awards. The band represented the Czech Republic as the country's first entry in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 in Helsinki, Finland. Between 2003 and 2017, they won the Český slavík award twelve times. In 2014, they were inducted into the Beatová síň slávy, the Czech equivalent of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They are considered one of the most successful rock acts in Czech history.

Taťjana Medvecká is a Czech actress. She starred in the film Operace Silver A under director Jiří Strach in 2007. Medvecká was named Best Supporting Actress at the 2011 Czech Lion Awards for her performance in The House. Medvecká won the equivalent award at Slovak cinema's Sun in a Net Awards a month later, for the same work.

<i>Leaving</i> (2011 film) 2011 film

Leaving is a 2011 Czech drama film written and directed by Václav Havel, based on his play of the same name, an absurdist look at the life of an ex-politician. The film received two Czech Lion awards.

Michal Novinski is a music composer best known for his film scores and theatre music. He received two Czech Lion Awards for scores for the films Kooky and In the Shadow.

Kateřina Holánová is a Czech film and stage actress. At the 2005 Thalia Awards she won the category of Best Actress in a Play, for the role of Rebecca West in the production of Rosmersholm. She studied at the Brno Conservatory before starting to perform at the Klicperovo divadlo in Hradec Králové, then moving on to the National Theatre Brno in 2004. Holánová's role in the 2003 film Boredom in Brno earned her a nomination for Best Leading Actress at the 2003 Czech Lion Awards.

Finále Plzeň is a film festival based in the Czech Republic. It focuses on Czech feature and documentary films. The best film is awarded the Golden Kingfisher by a jury. It was founded in 1967 and the first year was held in 1968. The festival was held in 1970 but the Golden Kingfisher wasn't awarded. The festival wasn't held again until 1990, when 12 films were awarded the Kingfisher to represent Czech and Slovak cinematography from the 1969-1990 period.

The House is a 2011 drama film written and directed by Zuzana Liová and starring Miroslav Krobot, Taťjana Medvecká and Judit Bárdos. The film won the main prize at the 2012 Finále Plzeň Film Festival. At the 2012 ceremony for the Sun in a Net Awards, the film won in the categories of Best Film and Best Actress, for the performance of Judit Bárdos. Taťjana Medvecká's performance in the film won her the accolade of Best Supporting Actress at the Czech Lion Awards as well as the Sun in a Net Awards.

2016 Czech Lion Awards ceremony was held on 4 March 2017. A Prominent Patient has won 12 awards, including Best picture film.

2010 Czech Lion Awards ceremony was held on 5 March 2011.

2012 Czech Lion Awards ceremony was held on 3 February 2013.

2018 Czech Lion Awards ceremony was held on 23 March 2019. Nominations were announced on 22 January 2019. Toman has received highest number of nominations. Nominations for television categories were announced on 25 February 2019.

2019 Czech Lion Awards ceremony was held on 7 March 2020. It will be moderated by Václav Kopta. Nominations were announced on 15 January 2020. Owners received highest number of nominations. The Painted Bird then won in 9 categories including the Best film.

<i>Owners</i> (film) 2019 Czech film

Owners is a 2019 Czech comedy film directed by Jiří Havelka, which he made according to his own screenplay. The story is based on the play The Society of Owners (Condominium), which Havelka also wrote and directed, and was presented by the theater company Vosto5. The performance won the Divadelní noviny award in the category of alternative theater.

2020 Czech Lion Awards ceremony will be held in March 2021. Awards underwent changes as new Categories were added. Animated film and Web works will be newly Awarded in their respective Categories. Some categories became open for Television and Web works as a result of increase in Television work quality.
