Tatiana Dyková, née Vilhelmová is a Czech film and stage actress. She made her professional debut in Indian Summer (1995), directed by Saša Gedeon, for which she received her first nomination for the Czech Lion. She has been nominated seven times for the award, winning once for her performance in Bohdan Sláma's Something Like Happiness (2005). She has received other international awards including a Cottbus Film Festival Award, a Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema Award, a Golden Nymph Award, a Sochi International Film Festival Award and a Shooting Stars Award.

Kateřina Winterová is a Czech actress, permanent member of the National Theatre in Prague, and vocalist for the band The Ecstasy of Saint Theresa.

The City of the Sun is a 2005 comedy film written and directed by Martin Šulík and starring Oldřich Navrátil and Ľuboš Kostelný. The film won the main prize at the 2005 Finále Plzeň Film Festival. At the 2006 ceremony for The Sun in a Net Awards, the film won in six categories. The film was Slovakia's submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film for the 78th Academy Awards. The film won in two categories at the Czech Lion Awards, specifically for music and editing.

<i>The Painted Bird</i> (film) 2019 black and white war drama film

The Painted Bird is a 2019 internationally co-produced black and white war drama film written, directed and produced by Václav Marhoul. An adaptation of Jerzy Kosiński's novel of the same name, it is the first film to feature the Interslavic language; Marhoul stated that he decided to use Interslavic so that no Slavic nation would nationally identify with the story.

Czech Lion Award for Best Foreign Film was awards given to the best non-Czech motion picture. It was discontinued in 2014.

Old-Timers is a 2019 Czech thriller starring Jiří Schmitzer and Ladislav Mrkvička. It was directed by Martin Dušek and Ondřej Provazník.

2019 Czech Lion Awards ceremony was held on 7 March 2020. It will be moderated by Václav Kopta. Nominations were announced on 15 January 2020. Owners received highest number of nominations. The Painted Bird then won in 9 categories including the Best film.

2020 Czech Lion Awards ceremony will be held in March 2021. Awards underwent changes as new Categories were added. Animated film and Web works will be newly Awarded in their respective Categories. Some categories became open for Television and Web works as a result of increase in Television work quality.
