    <span class="mw-page-title-main">Revolutionary Socialist Party (India)</span> Political party in India

    Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) is a communist party in India. The party was founded on 19 March 1940 by Tridib Chaudhuri and has its roots in the Bengali liberation movement Anushilan Samiti and the Hindustan Socialist Republican Army.

    Revolutionary Socialist Party of Kerala (Bolshevik) is formed as a splinter group from RSP in Kerala in 2001. The party leader at the time of its formation was Baby John, formerly an important RSP leader in Kerala.

    Velikkakathu Sankaran Achuthanandan, popularly known by his initials V. S., is an Indian politician who was the Chief Minister of Kerala from 2006 to 2011. At 82, he was the oldest person to have assumed the office. He is affiliated to the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He served as the chairman of Administrative reforms in Kerala with state cabinet rank from 2016 to 2021. He has served as Leader of the Opposition for 15 years which makes him the longest serving Leader of the Opposition in Kerala Legislative Assembly.

    The United Democratic Front (UDF) is the Indian National Congress-led alliance of centre to centre-right political parties in the Indian state of Kerala. It is one of the two major political alliances in Kerala, the other being Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led Left Democratic Front, each of which has been in power alternately since 1980 E. K. Nayanar ministry. Most of the United Democratic Front constituents are members of the Indian National Congress-led United Progressive Alliance at pan-India level.

    Revolutionary Socialist Party of India (Marxist) was a political party in Kerala, India. It was formed by the former Labour Minister of Kerala, Babu Divakaran in 2005. Divakaran broke away from the RSP(B). In 2008 the party merged with the SP. In 2011, Babu Divakaran quit SP and subsequently RSP(M) merged with RSP.

    National Revolutionary Socialist Party (NRSP) was a political party in Kerala, India. NRSP emerged through a split in the Revolutionary Socialist Party.

    Communism in India has existed as a social or political ideology as well as a political movement since at least as early as the 1920s. In its early years, communist ideology was harshly suppressed through legal prohibitions and criminal prosecutions. Eventually, communist parties became ensconced in national party politics, sprouting several political offshoots.

UTUC(B) is politically tied to Revolutionary Socialist Party (Bolshevik). Initially, K.C. Vamadevan was president of UTUC(B) and T.M. Prabha was the general secretary of UTUC(B).

    United Trade Union Congress (Marxist) is a federation of trade unions in Kerala, India. UTUC(M) emerged from a 2005 split in the United Trade Union Congress (Bolshevik). UTUC(M) is politically tied to Revolutionary Socialist Party (Marxist). T.M. Prabha is the general secretary of UTUC(M).

    Kerala Revolutionary Socialist Party (Baby John) is a political party in Kerala, India, led by Shibu Baby John (the son of late Baby John, a former Minister in Kerala). RSP (Baby John) is part of the Indian National Congress-led United Democratic Front.

    Shibu Baby John is an Indian politician, businessman, film producer and former Minister for Labour of the State Government of Kerala, India. He is former General Secretary of the state's Revolutionary Socialist Party party, which is based in Kerala. Now RSP merged with Revolutionary Socialist Party and he is now national committee member of RSP. In 21 February 2023, he was elected the Secretary of Revolutionary Socialist Party Kerala State Committee. He is the son of former RSP leader Baby John and Annamma John.

    The 2014 Indian general election polls in Kerala were held for the twenty Lok Sabha seats in the state on 10 April 2014. The total voter strength of Kerala for the election was 2,42,51,937 and 73.89% of voters exercised their right to do so. The results of the elections were declared on 16 May 2014.
