The 2011 Suwon Samsung Bluewings season was the Suwon Samsung Bluewings' sixteenth season in the K-League. The club competed in the K-League, League Cup, Korean FA Cup and the AFC Champions League.

Kiyoshi Okuma and the club reached an agreement to end the contractual relationship that bound them together at the end of the 2011 season. With this, Ranko Popović became the new coach for this season.

The 2015 Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao season is the 62nd year in Guangzhou Evergrande's existence and is its 48th season in the Chinese football league, also its 26th season in the top flight. The club's name was changed from Guangzhou Evergrande F.C. to Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao F.C. before the 2015 season due to e-commerce company Alibaba Group purchasing a 50% stake in the club from the Evergrande Real Estate Group. Fabio Cannavaro was appointed as the new manager of the club after Marcello Lippi announced his retirement at the end of 2014 season. On 4 June 2015, Brazilian football manager Luiz Felipe Scolari was appointed as the new manager of club, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal.

The 2016 season was FC Seoul's 33rd season in the K League Classic.

The 2015 season was Sanfrecce Hiroshima's seventh consecutive season in J.League Division 1, and 45th overall in the Japanese top flight. Sanfrecce Hiroshima also competed in the Emperor's Cup, J.League Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup. The club secured its third J1 League title after beating Gamba Osaka on aggregate on 5 December 2015.

The 2017 season was FC Seoul's 34th season in the K League Classic.

The 2018 season was FC Seoul's 35th season in the K League 1.

The 2019 season was FC Seoul's 36th season in the K League 1.

The 2019 Kashima Antlers season involved the team competing in the J1 League, they finished 3rd in the 2018 J1 League. They also competed in the J.League Cup, Emperor's Cup, and AFC Champions League.

The 2021 season is FC Seoul's 38th season in the K League 1.
