The K League 1 is the men's top professional football division of the South Korean football league system. The league is contested by twelve clubs.
Seongnam FC is a South Korean professional football club based in Seongnam that competes in the K League 2, the second tier of South Korean football. Founded in 1989 as Ilhwa Chunma Football Club, the club has won seven national league titles, three FA Cups, three League Cups, and two AFC Champions League titles. They finished in 9th place, escaping relegation play-offs at their last match, after winning 2–0 past Suwon FC. They didn't participated –or qualified to participate– in the 2022 AFC Champions League. Their final chance of reaching the 2023–24 AFC Champions League was via the 2022 Korean FA Cup, where they played a two-legged final against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, losing on aggregate score. Overall, no titles were won by FC Seoul in the season.
Baek Jong-bum is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for K League 1 club FC Seoul. Born in Daejeon, he attended Osan Middle and High School, where he underwent training through FC Seoul's development system. Baek signed with the club in 2018 and made his debut professional appearance in the 2022 K League 1 season.
