The 2015 Jacksonville Armada FC season was the club's first season of existence, they played in the North American Soccer League, the second tier of the American soccer pyramid.
José Luis Villarreal was appointed as the club's first manager on June 11, 2014. [1]
Villarreal announced he would be leaving Armada at the end of the Spring season on May 22, [2] with Guillermo Ángel Hoyos replacing him as head coach. On June 30, Armada extended Head Coach Guillermo Ángel Hoyos' contract until the end of the 2019 season, [3] before dismissing Hoyos on September 21 and placing Eric Dade as Interim Manager. [4]
All Armada NASL matches would be broadcast locally on television on WCWJ CW17 [5] and on the radio on WFXJ "Sports Radio 930". The play-by-play announcer would be Cole Pepper, who is experienced doing sports announcing in the Jacksonville area, including 15 years with the Jacksonville Jaguars. [6]
Armada matches can be streamed online via NASL's TV package with ESPN3, or iHeart Radio.

Jacksonville Armada FC is an American professional soccer team based in Jacksonville, Florida. They were founded in 2013 as an expansion franchise in the North American Soccer League (NASL), the second tier of American soccer, and played until the league folded in 2018. Armada FC then moved to the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid, during the 2018 season before going on hiatus. They are set to resume play in MLS Next Pro in 2025.
The 2015 North American Soccer League season was the 48th season of Division II soccer in the United States and the fifth season of the North American Soccer League. It was contested by eleven teams including two from Canada. Jacksonville Armada FC made their NASL debut this season. The defending Soccer Bowl champions were the San Antonio Scorpions, while Minnesota United FC were the defending North American Supporters' Trophy winners. A split season format was used for the 2015 season.
The Coastal Cup is a trophy and soccer competition among the USL Championship (USL) teams based in Florida. Established in 2010, the trophy was originally awarded to the best team in regular season play among Florida-based franchises. Head-to-head playoff games, U.S. Open Cup matches and friendlies have no bearing on the outcome of this competition. The Fort Lauderdale Strikers did not field a team in 2017 and were later dissolved. The Tampa Bay Rowdies also participated in this cup from 2010 though 2016, before leaving the NASL for the USL. With Miami FC joining the USL, the competition restarted in 2020.
