The 2015–16 Arkansas State Red Wolves men's basketball team represented Arkansas State University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Red Wolves, led by eighth year head coach John Brady, played their home games at the Convocation Center, and were members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 11–20, 7–13 in Sun Belt play to finish in a tie for ninth place. They failed to qualify for the Sun Belt tournament.
Prior to the season, head coach John Brady announced his intentions to resign following the season. [1] On March 16, 2016, the school hired former Baylor assistant Grant McCasland as the new head coach. [2]
The Redwolves finished the 2014–15 season 11–29, 6–14 in Sun Belt play to finish in 10th place. They failed to qualify for the Sun Belt tournament.

John Leslie Pelphrey is an American college basketball coach, currently the head coach of the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles. After being named Kentucky Mr. Basketball in 1987, he became a star college player at the University of Kentucky.
John Emmett Brady is an American college basketball coach and the former head men's basketball coach at Arkansas State University.
The Arkansas State Red Wolves are the athletic teams of Arkansas State University. They are a member of the Sun Belt Conference in all sports except women's bowling, a sport not sponsored by that league, competing at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level. As of the next NCAA bowling season in 2023–24, the bowling team will compete in Conference USA, which absorbed the single-sport Southland Bowling League after the 2022–23 season.
The 2012–13 Arkansas State Red Wolves men's basketball team represented Arkansas State University during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Red Wolves, led by fifth year head coach John Brady, played their home games at the Convocation Center, and were members of the West Division of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 19–12, 12–8 in Sun Belt play to be West Division champions. They advanced to the semifinals of the Sun Belt tournament where they lost to WKU. Despite the 19 wins, they did not participate in a postseason tournament.

The 2015–16 Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team represented the University of Louisiana at Lafayette during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Ragin' Cajuns were led by fourth-year head coach Garry Brodhead and played all their home games at the Cajundome with a select few at Earl K. Long Gymnasium, which is located on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus. They were members in the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 25-10, 13–7 in Sun Belt play to finish in third place. They advanced to the semifinal game of the Sun Belt women's tournament where they lost to Little Rock by the score of 52-63. They competed in the Women's Basketball Invitational and went to the championship game, winning by the score of 87-85 in two overtimes against the Weber State Wildcats
