Vietnamese National Football Super Cup, also called the Thaco National Football Super Cup due to sponsorship reasons, is Vietnamese football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous V.League 1 season and the holders of the Vietnamese Cup. If the V.League 1 champions also won the Vietnamese Cup, then the league runners-up provide the opposition. The fixture was first played in the 1998–99 season.
Hanoi Football Club, commonly referred to as Hà Nội, is a Vietnamese professional football club based in Hanoi, Vietnam. They play their home matches at the Hang Day Stadium and compete in V.League 1, the top division in the Vietnamese football league system. They were founded in 2006 as T&T Hanoi Football Club before being renamed to Hanoi T&T Football Club in 2010, and finally to its current name in 2016.

The 2017 V.League 1 season was the 34th season of the V.League 1, the highest division of Vietnamese football and the 17th as a professional league. The season began on 7 January 2017 and ended on 25 November 2017. The season was twice interrupted due to the Vietnam Football Federation's decision to stop the league for 4 weeks due to the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and then again for 7 weeks for the 29th SEA Games.
The 2017 National Cup was the 25th edition of the Vietnamese National Cup. It was sponsored by Sứ Thiên Thanh, and known as the Sứ Thiên Thanh National Cup for sponsorship purposes. This year's competition, which features 21 teams including V.League 1's 14 teams and National First Division's 7 teams. The winner are qualified to AFC Cup.

The competition began on 24 November 2023 with the first-round matches, and will be concluded on 7 July 2024 with the final.
