Sogdiana Jizzakh remained for 2016 Uzbek League after winning in relegation play-off match with Oqtepa. Obod Tashkent promoted to 2016 League as 2015 First League winner. The draw of 2016 season was held on 22 December 2015. The first matchday is scheduled for 4 March 2016.

The one leg relegation play-off match between 15th placed team of Uzbek League, Navbahor Namangan and runners-up of 2016 Uzbekistan First League, FC Naryn Khakkulabad was played on 28 November 2016 in Tashkent. Navbahor won by 3:1 and remained in League.

Uzbekistan Super League, known as Coca-Cola Uzbekistan Super League due to sponsorship reasons, is the top division of professional football in Uzbekistan. It is operated under the auspices of the Uzbekistan Professional Football League and Uzbekistan Football Association. It was founded in 1992 and currently played with 14 teams. The top team qualifies to the group stage of the AFC Champions League.

The 2011 Uzbek League season was the 20th season of top-level football in Uzbekistan since independence in 1992.

The 2012 Uzbek League season was the 21st season of top level football in Uzbekistan since independence in 1992. Bunyodkor were the defending champions from the 2011 campaign. The draw for the 2012 Uzbek League season took place on January 6, 2012.

The 2015 Uzbek League was the 24th season of top level football in Uzbekistan since independence in 1992. Pakhtakor were the defending champions from the 2014 campaign.

The 2015 Uzbekistan First League was the 24th season of second level football in Uzbekistan since independence in 1992. It is split in an eastern and western zone, each featuring 12 teams. As of end of the season Obod won championship and promoted to Uzbek League for 2016 season. The runners-up, Oqtepa after lost by 1-2 in one leg relegation/play-off match against Sogdiana Jizzakh on 25 November 2015 remained in First League.

The 2016 Uzbekistan Cup is the 24th season of the annual Uzbek football Cup competition. The competition started on 14 March 2016 and ended in November 2016. The cup winner is guaranteed a place in the 2017 AFC Champions League.

The 2017 Uzbek League was the 26th season of top-level football in Uzbekistan since 1992. Lokomotiv Tashkent were the defending champions from the 2016 campaign.

The 2021 Uzbekistan Super League is the 30th season of top-level football in Uzbekistan since its establishment on 1992. Pakhtakor Tashkent were the defending champions from the 2020 campaign.

The 2021 season was Bunyodkor's 15th season in the Uzbekistan Super League; they finished the season in fifth position and reached the semi-final of the Uzbekistan Cup.
