Uzbekistan Super League, known as Coca-Cola Uzbekistan Super League due to sponsorship reasons, is the top division of professional football in Uzbekistan. It is operated under the auspices of the Uzbekistan Professional Football League and Uzbekistan Football Association. It was founded in 1992 and currently has 14 teams. The top team qualifies to the group stage of the AFC Champions League.
The 2011 Uzbek League season was the 20th season of top-level football in Uzbekistan since independence in 1992.
The Uzbekistan Footballer of the Year is a yearly football award presented by the Uzbekistan Football Association to the most outstanding Uzbekistan footballer among who has been considered to have performed the best in national team or over Uzbekistan Super League and other national championship season. The award is given out at the end of the calendar year and is decided by the survey among sport journalists and football experts.
Kakhaber 'Kakhi' Makharadze is a Georgian football midfielder who is currently banned.
