The 2016–2017 Toyota Finance 86 Championship is the fourth running of the Toyota Finance 86 Championship. The championship began on 4 November 2016 at Pukekohe Park Raceway and will conclude on 12 March 2016 at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park.

Race calendar and results

All rounds are to be held in New Zealand. The round one in Pukekohe Park Raceway will be held in support of the V8 Supercars. Rounds 3, 4 and 5 are to be held with the Toyota Racing Series.

Championship standings

In order for a driver to score championship points, they had to complete at least 75% of the race winner's distance, and be running at the finish. All races counted towards the final championship standings.

The Toyota Racing Series is New Zealand's premier "open-wheeler" motorsport category. The 2013 V8SuperTourer season is a motor racing championship for touring cars held in New Zealand. The season started on 16 February at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park and ended on 8 December at Pukekohe Park Raceway after seven rounds. All cars used a chassis built by Paul Ceprnich of Pace Innovations in Australia, and were powered by a Chevrolet LS7 7-litre engine.

The Pukekohe 500 is an endurance motor racing event first held in 1963 at Pukekohe Park Raceway, Pukekohe, New Zealand.

The 2014 Toyota Racing Series was the tenth running of the Toyota Racing Series, the premier open-wheeler motorsport category held in New Zealand. The series, which consists of five meetings of three races, began on 11 January at Teretonga Park in Invercargill and ended on 9 February with the 59th running of the New Zealand Grand Prix, at Manfeild Autocourse in Feilding.

The Toyota Finance 86 Championship was a brand new One-make racing series in New Zealand, made up of race ready Toyota 86 cars. The series ran across six rounds throughout the New Zealand summer, after the seventh round – a scheduled three-hour endurance race at Pukekohe Park Raceway – was cancelled.

The 2014 V8SuperTourer season was a motor racing championship for touring cars held in New Zealand over four events between January and April 2014. All cars used a chassis built by Paul Ceprnich of Pace Innovations in Australia, and were powered by a Chevrolet LS7 7-litre engine.

The 2014–2015 Toyota Finance 86 Championship was the second running of the Toyota Finance 86 Championship. The championship began on 27 September 2014 at Taupo Motorsport Park and ended on 1 March 2015 at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park after eighteen races held at six meetings.

The 2015–2016 Toyota Finance 86 Championship was the third running of the Toyota Finance 86 Championship. The championship began on 7 November 2015 at Pukekohe Park Raceway and finished on 27 March 2016 at Taupo Motorsport Park after eighteen races held at six meetings.

2017 Auckland SuperSprint

The 2017 ITM Auckland SuperSprint was a motor racing event for Supercars, held on the weekend of 3 to 5 November 2017. The event was held at Pukekohe Park Raceway near Pukekohe, New Zealand, and consisted of two races, 200 kilometres in length. It was the 13th event of fourteen in the 2017 Supercars Championship and hosted Races 23 and 24 of the season. It was the twelfth running of the Auckland SuperSprint.

The 2018 CAMS Australian Formula 4 Championship was the fourth Australian Formula 4 Championship, a motor racing competition for open-wheel racing cars complying with Formula 4 regulations, which were created by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) for entry-level open-wheel championships. Teams and drivers competed in twenty-one races at six venues, starting on 7 April and ending on 4 November.

2018 Auckland SuperSprint

The 2018 ITM Auckland SuperSprint was a motor racing event for Supercars, held on the weekend of 2 to 4 November 2018. The event was held at Pukekohe Park Raceway near Pukekohe, New Zealand, and consisted of two races, 200 kilometres in length. It was the 15th event of sixteen in the 2017 Supercars Championship and hosted races 28 and 29 of the season. It was the thirteenth running of the Auckland SuperSprint.

The 2018–2019 Toyota Finance 86 Championship is the sixth running of the Toyota Finance 86 Championship. The championship began on 2 November 2018 at Pukekohe Park Raceway and will conclude on 10 March 2019 at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park.

The 2018–19 NZ Touring Cars Championship was the twentieth season of the series, and the fourth under the NZ Touring Cars name. The field consisted of two classes racing on the same grid. Class one featured both V8ST and NZV8 TLX cars. Class two consisted of older NZV8 TL cars. The series was won by Australian Jack Smith, with Justin Ashwell taking the Class Two championship.

The 2019–2020 Toyota Finance 86 Championship will be the seventh running of the Toyota Finance 86 Championship. The championship will begin on 2 November 2019 at Pukekohe Park Raceway and will conclude on 26 April 2020 at the same venue.
