The 2017 South Africa Women's Quadrangular Series was an international women's cricket tournament that was held in Potchefstroom, South Africa, from 4 to 21 May 2017. [1] The series was contested between the teams of India, Ireland, South Africa and Zimbabwe. [2] The matches were played at Senwes Park and The PUK Oval. [3] All the matches were played as Women's One Day International (WODI) matches, except for fixtures that featured Zimbabwe, who do not have WODI status. [4]
Ahead of the tournament, South Africa's captain Dane van Niekerk was ruled out of the tournament due to a foot injury. [5] South Africa named an interim captain, but they did not add a replacement to their squad. [5]
India won the tournament, beating South Africa by eight wickets in the final. [6]

Deepti Bhagwan Sharma is an international cricketer who plays for the Indian women's national cricket team. She is an all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls right-arm off break and is currently ranked 4th in the top all-rounders in the ICC Cricket Rankings. Deepti Sharma is also the current third highest individual scorer by a woman cricketer in ODIs.
The 2017 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier was an international women's cricket tournament that was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from 7 to 21 February 2017. It was the final stage of the qualification process for the 2017 World Cup in England. The tournament was the fourth edition of the World Cup Qualifier, and the first to be held in Sri Lanka.
The India women's cricket team played South Africa women's cricket team in February 2018. The tour consisted of three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and five Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). The WODI games are part of the 2017–20 ICC Women's Championship. India Women won the WODI series 2–1. India Women won the WT20I series 3–1, after the fourth match was washed out.
The Australia women's cricket team played the India women's cricket team in March 2018. The tour consisted of three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) which formed part of the 2017–20 ICC Women's Championship. Following the WODI matches, both teams played in a tri-series, with England women being the third team. Australia Women won the series 3–0 and became the number one ranked side in WODIs.
The England women's cricket team played the India women's cricket team in April 2018. The tour consisted of three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs). The matches followed a tri-series in India, which also featured the Australia women's cricket team. India won the series 2–1.
The India women's cricket team played the Sri Lanka women's cricket team in September 2018. The tour consisted of three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs), which formed part of the 2017–20 ICC Women's Championship, and five Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches. The matches were played in Galle, Katunayake and Colombo. India Women won the WODI series 2–1, and the WT20I series 4–0, after the second match finished in a no result.
The New Zealand women's cricket team played the Ireland women's cricket team in June 2018. The tour consisted of one Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) and three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) matches. New Zealand won the one-off WT20I match by ten wickets.
The South Africa women's cricket team toured India to play against the India women's cricket team in September and October 2019. The tour consisted of three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and six Women's Twenty20 International (WT20) matches. The WODI matches were not part of the 2017–20 ICC Women's Championship.
The South Africa women's cricket team played against the India women's cricket team in March 2021. Five Women's One Day International (WODI) and three Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches were played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Despite the short notice of the tour, Cricket South Africa confirmed that tests for COVID-19 had been done and the team was ready to travel. Prior to the tour, India's last international match was the final of the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup on 8 March 2020. The South African team arrived in Lucknow on 26 February 2021, before undergoing six days of quarantine.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has organized a Women's ODI tri-nation in Doha during January 2014 followed by a Women's T20I tri-nation series in the same month. The participating teams were Pakistan, South Africa and Ireland. Both tournaments were played in a round-robin format where each team faced other team twice and followed by a final. All the matches were played at West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Doha.
The India women's national cricket team toured Ireland and England between July and September 2006. They played Ireland in 2 One Day Internationals, winning the series 2–0. They then played England in 1 Twenty20 International, 2 Test matches and 5 ODIs. England won the ODI series 4–0, whilst India won the Test series and T20I series, both 1–0.

India then played against Ireland in three One Day Internationals, with India winning the series 2–0. The English women's cricket team toured India in January 2002. They played India in 5 One Day Internationals and 1 Test match. India won the ODI series 5–0, whilst the Test match was drawn.
The Pakistan women's national cricket team toured England and Ireland in June and July 2013. In England, they played England in 2 One Day Internationals and 2 Twenty20 Internationals, then played Ireland in 2 T20Is and 1 ODI. They then went to Ireland, and again played Ireland, this time in 1 T20I and 2 ODIs, after which they played in the 2013 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier. England won the ODI series 2–0, whilst the two sides drew their T20I series 1–1. Pakistan won every match across their series against Ireland.
The South Africa women's national cricket team toured England in July and August 2008. They first played Ireland in 1 One Day Internationals and 1 Twenty20 International, winning both matches. They then played a 5 match ODI series and a 3 match T20I series against England, both of which were won by England.
The New Zealand women's national cricket team toured England and Ireland in June and July 1996. They first played England in 3 One Day Internationals, winning the series 3–0. They then played England in three Test matches, all of which were drawn. Finally, they played Ireland in 3 ODIs, winning the series 2–0.
The 2011 Women's Quadrangular Series were two Quadrangular Series that took place in Sri Lanka in April 2011. The four teams competing were Ireland, the Netherlands, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The teams first played in a T20I series, consisting of semi-finals and a final, which was won by Pakistan. They then played in a ODI round-robin series, which was again won by Pakistan. Sri Lanka and Pakistan also faced each other in a one-off ODI before the series started.
The Sri Lanka women's national cricket team toured India in January 2014. They played India in three One Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals, losing the ODI series 3–0 but winning the T20I series 2–1.
The West Indies women's cricket team toured India in January 2011. They played against New Zealand in five One Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals, losing the ODI series 3–2 and losing the T20I series 2–1.
The Ireland women's cricket team played four Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) against the Zimbabwe women's cricket team in October 2021. The matches were used by both teams for their preparation for the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament, also in Zimbabwe. They were the first WODI matches to be played by Ireland since June 2018, when they hosted New Zealand, and the first ever WODI matches to be played by Zimbabwe since they were granted WODI status by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in April 2021.
