The 2017–18 Bucknell Bison women's basketball team represented Bucknell University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Bison, led by seventh year head coach Aaron Roussell, played their home games at Sojka Pavilion and were members of the Patriot League. [1] [2] [3] They finished the season 22–10, 15–3 in Patriot League play to finish in second place. They advanced to the semifinals of the Patriot League women's tournament, where they lost to Army. They received an automatic bid to the Women's National Invitation Tournament, where they lost to West Virginia in the first round.

Previous season

They finished the season 27–6, 16–2 in Patriot League play win Patriot League regular season title. They won the Patriot League women's tournament to earn an automatic trip to the NCAA women's tournament for the first time since 2008, where they lost to Maryland in the first round.

As a result, the Bison received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 13 seed in the West region. There they lost in the first round to West Virginia.

The Bison, led by head coach Charles Woollum, played their home games at Davis Gym and were members of the East Coast Conference. They finished the season 23–8, 11–3 in Patriot League play to be crowned regular season champions. They were also champions of the ECC tournament to earn an automatic bid to the 1989 NCAA tournament where they lost in the first round to Syracuse.

The Bison, led by head coach Pat Flannery, played their home games at Sojka Pavilion and were members of the Patriot League. They finished the season 23–10, 10–4 in Patriot League play to finish second in the conference regular season. They won the Patriot League tournament to earn an automatic bid to the 2005 NCAA tournament where they upset No. 3 seed Kansas in the opening round. In the round of 32, the Bison were beaten by No. 6 seed Wisconsin.
