The Boys' Doubles tournament of the 2018 European Junior Badminton Championships was held from September 11-16. French Doubles Thom Gicquel and Toma Junior Popov clinched this title in the last edition. Scottish Christopher Grimley / Matthew Grimley leads the seedings this year.

Cori "Coco" Gauff is an American professional tennis player. The 2020 SaarLorLux Open was a badminton tournament which took place at Saarlandhalle in Saarbrücken, Germany, from 27 October to 1 November 2020 and had a total prize of $90,000.

The Boys' doubles tournament of the 2017 European Junior Badminton Championships was held from April 11–16. Dane doubles Alexander Bond and Joel Eipe clinched this title in the last edition. French Thom Gicquel / Toma Junior Popov leads the seedings this year.

Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury defeated defending champion Bruno Soares and his partner, Jamie Murray, in the final, 3–6, 6–2, 6–2, to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2021 US Open. This was the second major title for Ram and Salisbury as a team after they first won the 2020 Australian Open together. Ram and Salisbury saved four match points in their quarterfinal match against Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell en route to the title.

Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios defeated Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell in the final, 7–5, 6–4 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2022 Australian Open. It was their first major title as a team, and their second title of the season. They saved a total of eight match points en route to the title, and twice recovered from two sets down, having been taken to five sets in five of the six matches they played.

Defending champions Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk defeated Matthew Ebden and Samantha Stosur in the final, 6–4, 6–3 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. It was Skupski's second major title, and Krawczyk's fourth. They were the first team to win consecutive mixed doubles titles at Wimbledon since Cyril Suk and Helena Suková in 1997.
