The 2018 Hartford Hawks baseball team represented the University of Hartford in the 2018 NCAA Division I baseball season as a member of the America East Conference. The team was coached by Justin Blood and played their home games at Fiondella Field with select games being played at Dunkin' Donuts Park. 2018 was the most successful season in division one for Hartford baseball. Hartford captured the America East regular season and conference tournament championships for the first time in school history and advanced to the NCAA tournament.

The Stony Brook Seawolves baseball team represents Stony Brook University in NCAA Division I men's college baseball. Stony Brook currently competes in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) and plays its home games on Joe Nathan Field. Matt Senk has coached the team since the beginning of the 1991 season. The team has won the America East tournament six times in 2004, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2019. In 2011, the Seawolves claimed their first America East regular season championship. The Hartford Hawks baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball program of the University of Hartford, located in West Hartford, Connecticut. The program is a member of the NCAA Division III Commonwealth Coast Conference. The program had been a member of the NCAA Division I America East Conference from 1985 to 2022. It has played home games at Fiondella Field since the venue opened at the start of the 2006 season.

The UConn Huskies baseball team represents the University of Connecticut, in Storrs, Connecticut, in college baseball. The program is classified as NCAA Division I, and the team competes in the Big East Conference. The team is coached by Jim Penders.

James F. Penders is the coach of the UConn Huskies baseball team. Penders began his time with the Huskies in 1991 as a player on the varsity team. In his senior year, he was named a co-captain and helped to lead the Huskies to victory in the 1994 Big East Conference baseball tournament. Penders was named an assistant coach of the Huskies in 1997 and became head coach after the 2003 season.

The 2006 NCAA Division I baseball season play of college baseball in the United States, organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on January 26, 2006. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2006 NCAA Division I baseball tournament and 2006 College World Series. The College World Series, which consisted of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament, was held in its annual location of Omaha, Nebraska, at Rosenblatt Stadium. It concluded on June 26, 2006, with the final game of the best of three championship series. Oregon State defeated North Carolina two games to one to claim their first championship.

The 2014 America East Conference baseball tournament was held from May 21 through 23. The top four regular season finishers of the league's six teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Edward A. LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Massachusetts, the home park of UMass Lowell. Binghamton won their third tournament championship, and second consecutive, to claim the America East Conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.

The Hawks will play their home games at Fiondella Field as a member of the America East Conference. They will be led by head coach Justin Blood, in his 4th season at Hartford.

The South Florida Bulls baseball team is the intercollegiate men's baseball program representing the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. The team competes in the American Athletic Conference of NCAA Division I. Founded in 1966, the baseball team is one of the oldest teams at the university. The Bulls have captured eleven conference titles and 14 NCAA tournament appearances. The team plays their home games on campus at USF Baseball Stadium at Red McEwen Field and are coached by Billy Mohl.

The Central Connecticut–Hartford rivalry refers to the American collegiate athletics rivalry between the Central Connecticut Blue Devils sports teams of Central Connecticut State University and Hartford Hawks sports teams of the University of Hartford. The two campuses are located 10 miles apart. Unlike most in-state rivalries Hartford and Central Connecticut compete in difference conferences. Hartford competes in the America East Conference and Central Connecticut competes in the Northeast Conference. On May 6, 2021 the University of Hartford board of regents voted to transition the university’s athletic program from Division I to Division III, putting the future of the rivalry in doubt.

The 2018 America East Conference baseball tournament was held from May 23 to 26, 2018. The top six teams out of the league's seven members met in the double-elimination tournament held at Mahaney Diamond in Orono, Maine, the home park of Maine. As tournament champion, Hartford received the conference's automatic bid into the 2018 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.

The 2018–19 Hartford Hawks men's basketball team represented the University of Hartford in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They played their home games at the Chase Arena at Reich Family Pavilion in West Hartford, Connecticut and were led by 9th-year head coach John Gallagher. They were members of the America East Conference. They finished the season 18–15, 10–6 in America East play to finish in fourth place. They defeated UMass Lowell in the quarterfinals of the America East tournament before losing in the semifinals to UMBC.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2018–19 UMBC Retrievers men's basketball team</span> American college basketball season

The 2018–19 UMBC Retrievers men's basketball team represented the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They played their home games at the UMBC Event Center in Catonsville, Maryland, with one game being played at their former home, the Retriever Activities Center, and were led by third-year head coach Ryan Odom. They were members of the America East Conference. They finished the season 21–13, 11–5 in America East play to finish in third place. They defeated Albany and Hartford to advance to the championship game of the America East tournament where they lost to Vermont. Despite having 21 wins, they did not participate in a postseason tournament.

The 2018–19 Hartford Hawks women's basketball team represented the University of Hartford during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Hawks, led by third year head coach Kim McNeill and will once again play their home games in the Chase Arena at Reich Family Pavilion and were members of the America East Conference. They finished the season 23–11, 14–2 in American East play to finish in second place. They advanced to the championship game of the America East women's tournament where they lost to Maine. They received an automatic bid to the Women's National Invitation Tournament, where they lost to Providence in the first round.

The 2021 UConn Huskies baseball team represented the University of Connecticut in the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Huskies played their home games at Elliot Ballpark, their brand new stadium on campus in Storrs, Connecticut. The team is coached by Jim Penders, in his 18th season at UConn. The Huskies played their first season back in the Big East Conference, having departed the American Athletic Conference. They finished in first place with a 13–4 record, won the Big East tournament for the 4th time in program history, and made their 22nd appearance in an NCAA Regional.
