The 2018 Skate America was the first event of six in the 2018–19 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington on October 19–21. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earned points toward qualifying for the 2018–19 Grand Prix Final.

Originally, before modifications resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, skaters would have earned points based on their placement at each event and the top six in each discipline would have qualified to compete at the Grand Prix Final in Beijing, China. Due to the pandemic, only four of the six events were held as scheduled, with the Grand Prix Final also ultimately cancelled.

Skaters earned points based on their placement at each event and the top six in each discipline qualified to compete at the Grand Prix Final in Osaka, Japan. The Grand Prix Final was cancelled on December 2, 2021, with the possibility of postponement to the end of the season.
