The 2018–19 Notre Dame Fighting Irish women's basketball team represented the University of Notre Dame during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Fighting Irish, led by 32nd year head coach Muffet McGraw, played their home games at Edmund P. Joyce Center as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They were also the defending national champions.

Previous season

The Fighting Irish finished the 2017–18 season at 35–3 , 15–1 in ACC play to finish in a tie for first place. They were runners up in the ACC women's tournament losing to Louisville in the final game. They received an at large bid for the NCAA women's tournament as a number one seed. They won the tournament beating other number one seeds, Connecticut and Mississippi State along the way. This was the team's second national title in its history.

They finished the season 21–15, 8–10 in ACC play to finish tied with Syracuse for tenth place. As the No. 10 seed in the ACC tournament, they defeated Pittsburgh in the first round and Virginia Tech in the second round before losing to Duke in the quarterfinals. McGraw was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame at the start of the season. The Irish finished the season 35–3, 15–1 in ACC play to earn a share of the regular season championship. They defeated Virginia and Florida State before losing to Louisville in the ACC Women's Tournament championship. They received an at-large bid as the No. 1 seed in the Spokane region. They defeated Cal State Northridge and Villanova to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. There they defeated Texas A&M and Oregon to advance to the Final Four. After upsetting then-unbeaten Connecticut 91–89 in overtime in the Final Four, Notre Dame played Mississippi State in the national championship. The Irish edged the Bulldogs 61–58 by Arike Ogunbowale's three-pointer with 0.1 seconds left on the clock, capturing their second national title in 18 years. The Irish became the first team in NCAA Women's Basketball history to trail by double digits in both the semifinal and National Championship games and come back to win.

They finished the season 25–9, 11–5 in ACC play to finish in fifth place. They advanced to the semifinals of the ACC women's tournament where they lost to Notre Dame. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA women's tournament, receiving a No. 3 seed in the Portland regional, where they defeated Fordham in the first round before being upset by South Dakota State in the second round.

    The 2023–24 Notre Dame Fighting Irish women's basketball team represented the University of Notre Dame during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Fighting Irish were led by fourth year head coach Niele Ivey and played their home games at Purcell Pavilion as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
