The 2019 season is PKNP FC's 4th competitive and 2nd consecutive season in the Malaysia Super League since being promoted from the Malaysia Premier League. [1] [2] [3]
Kelab Bolasepak Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak, or simply PKNP FC is a Malaysian professional football club based in Ipoh, Perak. The club currently plays in the Malaysia Super League. The club also participated in the state and district competitions in the Perak League, Ipoh League and the Malaysia People's Football League as Batang Padang.
The Malaysia Super League is the men's top professional football division of the Malaysia football league system. Administered by the Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP), now known as the Malaysia Football League (MFL), Malaysia Super League is contested by twelve teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the Malaysia Premier League division and replaced by the top two teams in that division.
The 2017 Liga Premier also known as the 100PLUS Liga Premier for sponsorship reasons was the 14th season of the Liga Premier, the second-tier professional football league in Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur were crowned the champions and were promoted to Liga Super since relegated in 2012 season.
Note: Flags indicate national team as defined under FIFA eligibility rules. Players may hold more than one non-FIFA nationality.
As the governing body of association football, FIFA is responsible for maintaining and implementing the rules that determine whether an association football player is eligible to represent a particular country in officially recognised international competitions and friendly matches. In the 20th century, FIFA allowed a player to represent any national team, as long as the player held citizenship of that country. In 2004, in reaction to the growing trend towards naturalisation of foreign players in some countries, FIFA implemented a significant new ruling that requires a player to demonstrate a "clear connection" to any country they wish to represent. FIFA has used its authority to overturn results of competitive international matches that feature ineligible players.
