The 2020 Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs season was the 86th in the club's history. They were competing in the National Rugby League's 2020 Telstra Premiership. Dean Pay was the coach from Round 1 to Round 9. He formally resigned from this position on 14 July 2020 was replaced by Steve Georgallis, who was named as Pay's interim replacement. It was reported that, following Pay's resignation and Georgallis's appointment, the clubs other Assistant Coach, Steve Antonelli also resigned from his position. In Round 2 the NRL announced a shortened Season from 26 rounds to 20.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney. They compete in the NRL Telstra Premiership, as well as competitions facilitated by the New South Wales Rugby League, including the Canterbury Cup NSW, the Jersey Flegg Cup, Harvey Norman Women's Premiership, Tarsha Gale Cup, S. G. Ball Cup and the Harold Matthews Cup.
Hazem El Masri is a Lebanese Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played as a winger in the 1990s and 2000s. An international representative for Australia and Lebanon, and a New South Wales State of Origin representative goal-kicking wing, he played his entire club football career in Sydney with Canterbury-Bankstown with whom he won the 2004 NRL Premiership. In 2009 El Masri took the record for the highest-ever point scorer in premiership history and for a record sixth time was the NRL's top point scorer for the season. He also became only the seventh player in history to score over 150 NRL tries, having primarily played on the wing, but also at fullback.
Steven John Price is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. An Australian international representative, he retired as Queensland's most capped State of Origin forward. Price captained Sydney club, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs as well as New Zealand NRL club, the Warriors.
Belmore Sports Ground, formerly known as Belmore Oval, is a multi-purpose stadium in Belmore, New South Wales, Australia. The park covers 22 acres (89,000 m2) and from 1951 has contained the Belmore Bowling Recreation Club green. It is close to Belmore railway station.
Luke "The General" Patten is a former professional rugby league footballer and NRL match official. A Junior Kanaroo and Country New South Wales representative fullback he played for the Illawarra Steelers, St George Illawarra Dragons and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Australia and the Salford City Reds in the Super League.
