The 2020 Collingwood Magpies Netball season is the club's fourth year of senior competition in the Suncorp Super Netball league. The club would have fielded a reserves team in the Australian Netball League, though were prevented from doing so due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [1]
The Magpies were coached by Rob Wright and co-captained for the second consecutive year by Geva Mentor and Madison Browne. The club entered the season off the back of a fourth-place finish in the 2019 regular season. They were eliminated from the finals series by the Melbourne Vixens in the elimination final. [2]

Suncorp Super Netball is the premier professional netball league in Australia. The inaugural season commenced in February 2017.
Natalie Medhurst is a former Australian international netball player, currently playing in Australia's domestic league for the Collingwood Magpies in the Suncorp Super Netball league.
Madison “Madi” Browne is a former Australian netball player in the Suncorp Super Netball league, who played for the Collingwood Magpies.
Sharni Layton is a former Australian netball player, who last played Super Netball for the Collingwood Magpies in 2018. She is a decorated former player in the Australia national netball team, having won two Gold medals at the Netball World Cup and one gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.
Caitlin Thwaites is an Australian netball player in the Suncorp Super Netball league, playing for the Melbourne Vixens.
Geva Kate Mentor, CBE is an English International netball player. Mentor was selected for the England national team in 2000, debuting the following year against New Zealand, at age 16. She currently plays for the Collingwood Magpies in the Australian Super Netball league, and prior to that was a two-time premiership captain at the Sunshine Coast Lightning.
April Brandley is a professional Australian netball player in the Suncorp Super Netball league. She plays in the positions of GK, GD and WD, and has been selected on several occasions for the Australia national netball team.
Collingwood Magpies Netball is an Australian netball team in Melbourne which competes in the premier domestic league, Suncorp Super Netball. The team was founded in 2016, during the disbanding of the ANZ Championship. The Magpies are owned by the professional Australian Football League entity, the Collingwood Football Club. Home games are usually played at Melbourne Arena.
Giants Netball is an Australian netball team in Sydney which competes in Suncorp Super Netball. The team represents the Greater Western Sydney region of New South Wales. The team was formed in 2016, during the disbanding of the ANZ Championship. Giants Netball is owned by Netball NSW' and is aligned with the Australian Football League club, the Greater Western Sydney Giants. The Giants play most home matches at the 10,500 seat Ken Rosewall Arena, which it has called home since 2020.

The tournament featured all six teams in the domestic ANZ Premiership, one team from the Australian Suncorp Super Netball league, and one team from the Netball Superleague in the United Kingdom.

The club also fielded its women's team in the AFL Women's competition though because of the COVID-19 pandemic it did not field reserves sides in the Victorian Football League and VFL Women's competitions.
Tasmanian Magpies are an Australian netball team that represents Tasmania in the Australian Netball League. They were ANL champions in 2018. The team was formed in 2017 as a partnership between Netball Tasmania, the Tasmanian Government and Collingwood Magpies. Tasmanian Magpies are effectively the reserve team of Collingwood Magpies.
