This is a list of the complete squads for the 2020 Rugby Europe Championship , an annual rugby union tournament contested by the national rugby teams of Belgium, Spain, Georgia, Portugal, Romania and Russia. Georgia are the defending champions.

On 5 February, Akaki Tabutsatde was called up to replace Mirian Modebadze and Giorgi Kveseladze due to minor injuries whereas Konstantin Mikautadze left the squad due to club commitments. [3]
On 16 February, Lasha Tabidze was called up into the squad while Levan Chilachava, Beka Gigashvili, Mikheil Nariashvili and Vasil Lobzhanidze leave the squad for the less-experienced players to play. Also, Tornike Jalaghonia was called up to replace Otar Giorgadze who left the squad as well due to a minor injury. [4]

On 3 February, Ionel Badiu, Costel Burțilă and Mihai Macovei were called up to replace Horațiu Pungea, Cosmin Manole, Vlad Neculau, Alexandru Bucur and Cătălin Fercu due to a contagious flu. [7]
On 14 February, Horațiu Pungea, Cosmin Manole, Vlad Neculau and Cătălin Fercu have been re-called after having the flu along with Alexandru Savin, Marius Iftimiciuc Valentin Popârlan, Florian Roșu and Moa Mua Maliepo being called up for the first time this season to replace Ionel Badiu, Iulian Hartig and Țăruș. On 28 January, Evgeny Elgin was called up to replace Alexsandr Il`in (who will remain in the squad for the match versus Belgium) for the match versus Spain due to a minor injury sustained by Alexsandr Il`in. [10]
On 29 January, Shamil Magomedov and Patris Peki were called up to replace the players Tagir Gadzhiev and Bogdan Fedotko due to injuries accumulated during training. [11]
On 4 February, Alexey Scobyola was called up to replace Andrey Polivalov while Tagir Gadzhiev and Stanislav Sel'skiy left the squad due to injuries accumulated during the opening match against Spain. [12]
On 6 February, Valery Morozov was called up for the match against Belgium. [13]

The Romania national rugby union team represents Romania in men's international rugby union competitions, nicknamed Stejarii, is long considered one of the stronger European teams outside the Six Nations. They have participated in all but one Rugby World Cup and currently compete in the first division of the European Nations Cup, which they won recently in 2017. Rugby union in Romania is administered by the Romanian Rugby Federation.

SCM Rugby Timișoara is a professional Romanian rugby union club from Timișoara, which plays in the Liga Națională de Rugby, the first division of Romanian rugby. The team first won the championship in 1972, becoming the first club outside Bucharest to achieve this performance. In the modern format of the SuperLiga, SCM Rugby Timișoara won 4 titles in 6 seasons. The team is colloquially known as "Universitatea" Timișoara as it has historical ties with the University of Timișoara. In 2014 the club became a partner of London-based Saracens rugby club. In 2020, the club's partnership with London-based Saracens rugby club ended making them change their identity to SCM Rugby Timișoara. SCM Rugby Timisoara`s annual operating budget for the 2020-21 season is approximately 910,000 Euros.

The 2019 Rugby World Cup was an international rugby union tournament which was held in Japan from 20 September until 2 November 2019. Twenty national teams competed, and each brought a 31-man squad containing no regulated number of players per-position to the tournament. The tournament was administered by World Rugby, to whom each team submitted their finalised squad by 8 September 2019. A player may be replaced for medical or compassionate reasons, but would be unable to return to the squad. Any replacement player has an enforced stand-down period of 48 hours before they can take the field.
